Heidrick & Struggles Makes Leadership Changes in Europe

February 5, 2020 – Executive search, leadership consulting and culture shaping services provider Heidrick & Struggles recently made several leadership changes in Europe.

Claire Skinner has been named regional leader, Europe and Africa, continuing to focus on working at the top and driving growth and collaboration across the region, in addition to fostering inclusion and professional development initiatives. Most recently, she served as the partner-in-charge of the London office and she is a member of Heidrick’s CEO and board, social impact and industrial practices.

Ms. Skinner has more than 20 years of experience building executive and non-executive teams for a wide range of clients involved in energy, utilities, clean technology and sustainability. Additionally, she has substantial expertise within energy and environmental investment, building teams on behalf of leading venture and private equity companies, infrastructure and asset managers, global financial institutions, and professional services groups.

Andy MacLeod assumes co-leadership of the global healthcare and life sciences practice. Most recently, he served as the regional managing partner for the healthcare and life sciences practice in Europe. Mr. MacLeod focuses on senior executive and non-executive searches across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology, diagnostics, consumer health and healthcare services, operating across the full functional spectrum.

Charlie Moore, partner, healthcare and life sciences practice, has been named into the lead role for strategic accounts in Europe. He manages a number of Heidrick & Struggles global client relationships and has extensive experience with complex international mandates. Mr. Moore joined the firm’s London office in 1994.

New Partners-In-Charge

Heidrick said that the partners-in-charge around the region also have an increasingly important role in driving new and existing client opportunities, as well as leading communications and employee engagement at the local levels. The following partners now serve as new partners-in-charge in their respective countries:

Will Moynahan, partner-in-charge, London. He is a partner in the financial services practice advising private equity firms on senior appointments across investment and operating roles. He is also a member of the CEO and board practice.

Oliver Schiltz, partner-in-charge, Switzerland. He is a partner in the healthcare and life sciences practice and focuses on searches for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device technology roles, as well as senior general counsel and compliance roles for the legal, risk, compliance and government affairs practice.

Peter Christiansen, partner-in-charge, Denmark, and interim partner-in-charge, Sweden. He is a partner in the financial services and financial officers practices, placing some of the most notable technology executives in the Nordic financial services industry, as well as global CFOs.

New Chairman

Heidrick recently elected Adam Warby, CEO of Avanade, as chairman of its board of directors. Mr. Warby joined Heidrick’s board in 2018 to sharpen the firm’s focus on its digital transformation. As CEO of Avanade, a joint venture founded between Accenture LLP and Microsoft Corp., he has a proven track record.
