Hanold Associates Tapped by TB12 to Recruit New Board Directors

August 27, 2020 – Chicago-based Hanold Associates HR & Diversity Executive Search has been enlisted to recruit two board members for TB12, the fitness and wellness organization co-founded by NFL quarterback Tom Brady. The assignment is being led by Jason Hanold, CEO and co-managing partner of the search firm.

“TB12 is a mission-driven, complex, rapidly scaling business, that co-founders Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero care about deeply,” said Mr. Hanold. “Tom has been a highly engaged and focused partner. We started discussions before training camp began, and he is now focused on football, very accessible and proactively involved daily. He is thoughtful, humble, curious, warm and has a great sense of humor and focused on the mission and positive impact of the company. He is the rare ‘proof of concept’ for the business he founded with Alex.”

The new board members will play a critical role in supporting the company and its executives “through growth to greatness,” said Hanold Associates. Directors will be crucial in advising and shaping this original service business into an organization that positively impacts more people, transforming the well-being and lives of TB12’s clients.

Key Responsibilities

They will also support the development and execution of a comprehensive game plan for the company and align with the founders on a wholistic approach to company offerings, including services, products, locations, merchandising, global growth and continued thought contributions to the broader fitness and well-being industry.

They will also be charged with reinforcing the strategies to build an agile, responsive and flexible business that can quickly shift speeds and pivot to market needs.

“The ideal profile includes diverse executives who have operations leadership expertise in rapidly scaling companies focused on product innovation and e-commerce platforms and direct customer experiences in the health, wellness, nutrition, fitness arenas and adjacent industries,” said Hanold Associates. The board of TB12 will advise company management on the best strategies to build organizational sophistication and scale the company exponentially.

Candidates should have a wealth of knowledge in areas relevant to TB12, with specific expertise which may include e-commerce, digital operations, product innovation and scaling operations. “TB12 aims to grow quickly on a global scale, and understanding these functional areas is critical to the success of the brand,” said Hanold Associates. “Passion for the mission and purpose is extremely important; directors should embody the brand and be leaders who care deeply about helping others feel better and perform better and longer into life. This board membership is ideal for a natural team player who is highly collaborative, creative and innovative, who has recent and relevant experience aligned to TB12.”
