H.I. Executive Consulting Assists Volcon with CEO Search
November 15, 2021 – H.I. Executive Consulting (HIEC) has recruited Jordan Davis as the new chief executive officer of Volcon, the first all-electric, off-road powersports company. He will succeed Andrew Leisner, who has served as CEO since the company’s establishment. “We are delighted to have played our part in the search for Volcon’s chief executive officer,” said Brian Donohoe, partner. “We worked closely with chairman Christian Okonsky to ensure that we really listened and nailed the requirements for this leadership role for a company that is expecting to scale up. Huge congratulations to Jordan Davis and we wish him, Volcon and the team every success for the future.”
Mr. Davis will be executing Volcon’s 360-degree plan by leading the next operational phase of the company—elevating processes of the organization including production line efficiency, marketing initiatives, business development and scaling of the sales team—at an important time for the electric powersports brand as the company’s first model, the Grunt, begins shipping to customers.
“At Volcon we’re not only approaching riders who are pivoting from gasoline to electric, but also we feel there’s an untapped opportunity in the off-road sporting goods industry to expand electric mobility,” said Mr. Davis. “We believe our Grunt model checks all the boxes for experienced riders as well as those who may have only ever ridden a bicycle before. It’s truly a versatile off-road product that will provide great riding for our core motorcycle enthusiasts and those interested in hunting, fishing, and exploring.”
“I would like to thank Brian Donohoe and the whole team at HIEC for all their advice and support throughout this process, they have found me an amazing opportunity and I look forward to working with HIEC in the future as Volcon continues to evolve and expand in the coming months and years,” said Mr. Davis.
Mr. Davis, previously president Americas of O. Mustad & Son, a fishing product manufacturer, will lead Volcon as the all-electric Grunt comes to market. Prior to Mustad, Mr. Davis held leadership positions over the course of nearly a decade with the Remington Arms Company. He holds a bachelor’s of business administration with a dual focus in management and marketing, and an MBA in management, both from Bushnell University (formerly Northwest Christian University) and is currently a board member of the Mule Deer Foundation.
Based in Round Rock, TX, Volcon joins many major electric vehicle manufacturers in Austin, TX. Volcon was founded with the mission to enhance the outdoor experience while reducing the industry’s environmental footprint so that adventurers and workers alike can enjoy the outdoors and preserve it for generations to come.
