GRMSearch Names Consultants In South Africa, Australia and Japan

August 4, 2016 – Executive search firm GRMSearch (GRM) has strengthened its global platform with new appointments in South Africa, Australia and Japan.

In Johannesburg, GRM has signed on recruitment and insurance professional Kumari Naicker to its global insurance recruitment & consultancy practice group. Ms. Naicker’s coverage will help to grow the firm’s global footprint across Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. She was previously a senior recruitment consultant with Communicate Personnel.

“To bring in someone of Kumari’s caliber to our rapidly expanding office is a real shot in the arm for GRM,” said managing director, Dale Verster. “Globally, we have an excellent insurance practice, servicing many of the world’s leading insurance, reinsurance and consultancy firms and Kumari is going to add real strength to that.”

In Australia GRM’s legal practice added Andrea Cohen to its staff in Sydney. Ms. Cohen, who had originally helped launch GRM’s Melbourne office, had previously served in various roles with J.P. Morgan.

Australian managing director, Paul Garth, said: “I am delighted to welcome Andrea back to GRM, she is an excellent recruitment professional and our legal practice is really flying at the moment. We have become preferred supplier to many of the top names in the legal sector – Andrea’s signing will add strength to the service we bring our clients in our goal to offer a pan-country service.”

GRM’s Tokyo office named Tomas Gistren a new managing director and legal and compliance director. Mr. Gistren is a 20-year veteran in the tech and digital space and formerly served as managing consultant with Tokyo-based executive search firm Robert Leonard Consulting.

Mr. Gistren said: “I am delighted to have joined one the fastest growing companies in recruitment in Asia. To be given the chance and the blueprint to build our brand across Japan is incredibly exciting. I am sure the next few years will bring huge success as we set about building the right foundations for growth and bringing our Japanese clients the very best recruitment and executive search service we can.”

Simon Tulloch also joins the firm’s Tokyo office as director of legal and compliance search. Mr. Tulloch has spent 12 years recruiting in the legal and compliance space in Tokyo. He most recently served as director of compliance and legal search at Carraway Group.

“It’s been a lot of planning and a lot of work, but we have signed real strength to our growing family,” said Rob Green, GRM chief executive officer. “Our insurance, legal and tech practices are seeing real success this year, across a number of platforms and jurisdictions and we want to strike while the iron is hot. By bringing in Kumari, Andrea, Tomas and Simon we are sending a real message to our clients and candidates that we will not rest, we will keep working harder for you, we will keep investing for you so that you can always count on GRM to be the very best service provider available to you in the recruiting market.”
