Diversified Search Appoints Senior Advisor

March 8, 2018 – Executive search firm Diversified Search, one of the top 10 executive recruitment firms in the U.S., has added Kyung H. Yoon as a senior advisor. She is expected to bring added strength to the firm’s innovation and transformation, consumer and retail, CEO and board practices.
“Kyung marries two critical skill-sets,” said Dale E. Jones, CEO of Diversified Search. “She knows how to spot and recruit exceptional leadership talent, and she is a knowledge-based trusted advisor who understands the transformation and disruption affecting global business. She knows what kind of talent corporations and organizations need even before they do.”
Ms. Yoon said she sees great opportunities in her new role. “As senior advisor to Diversified Search, I will be utilizing my global connections to generate new business opportunities that can synergistically leverage the wide range of industry and functional expertise that resides in Diversified Search and Alto Partners,” she said, referring to the firm’s global office network. “I will also be able to highlight the unique experience and knowledge of various managing partners of Diversified for situations where their capabilities can add tremendous value to companies and organizations I have relationships with.”
Talent Veteran
Ms. Yoon is CEO and founder of the Silicon Valley-based Talent Age Associates, where she has developed talent strategies for the Fortune 500, multinational corporations and mid-cap/venture-backed companies in the technology, fashion, consumer, lifestyle and financial sectors. She was formerly vice chairman of Heidrick & Struggles and is regularly engaged as a corporate director, advisor and executive search and organizational consultant. Ms. Yoon led Heidrick’s expansion in Asia, managing its Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai, and Seoul offices.
Prior to joining Heidrick, Ms. Yoon was president of Benten Investments and Pacific Union Management. She is also the co-founder and partner of the Executive Board Exchange (EBX), a community for corporate director and board engagement. She currently serves as a board director of the global fashion group MCM Worldwide, board director of Give2Asia, council member of the Stanford Center on Longevity and as an advisory board member of Translink Capital.
She is known for her creativity, global vision and innovative thinking, said Diversified Search. She is particularly well regarded for offering timely insights and value-added solutions to clients facing disruption from technology and globalization, said the firm.

Recent Expansion
Diversified has experienced a wave of growth in recent months. Last month, the firm expanded into Boston with the addition of Molly A. Robb, a seasoned search executive with more than 20 years’ experience placing C-suite talent in the healthcare, private equity/venture capital and life sciences sectors. She joined the firm as a managing director and will work under the umbrella of San Francisco-based BioQuest, which became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diversified Search in 2016. Ms. Robb joins Diversified from Horton International, where she served as a managing director specializing in recruiting senior-level healthcare investors and operating leaders within healthcare private equity and venture capital and both public and private life sciences companies.
Diversified also added renowned physician-leader Steven Altschuler as senior advisor. Dr. Altschuler specializes in work in academic medicine within Diversified’s healthcare services search practice, the firm said. He provides insights into client challenges and candidate fit for CEO, dean and department chair roles, as well as for senior-level positions in the life sciences.
“We are gratified to have someone of Steve Altschuler’s caliber and deep experience on our team at Diversified, as we continue to identify and place leaders at some of the most prestigious medical institutions in the nation,” said Judith M. von Seldeneck, the firm’s founder and chairman. “Having known Steve personally for years, I cannot think of anyone who better represents the high quality and professionalism of our healthcare services practice, and I am delighted to welcome him into the Diversified family.”
