September 25, 2015 – ChampionScott Partners has recruited Shannon Erman as chief revenue officer of BRIDGE Energy Group. Mr. Erman is a seasoned utility industry executive with over 20 years of strategy, sales, marketing and operations experience.
Most recently, Mr. Erman was VP of North America for Oracle’s Utilities and Energy Business Unit where he established new go-to market initiatives while achieving record revenue results. Before that he held multiple leadership positions in large and emerging companies including eight years at IBM via their acquisition of MRO Software. Prior to his time at IBM, Mr. Erman served as a general manager for Peregrine Systems (acquired by HP). He also spent time as group vice president of services for Digital Paper, director of business and consulting services for GTE, and manager for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting Group.
Chief revenue officers are fast becoming mission-critical innovators for companies that look to dominate a market first and fastest, say recruiters. Exceptional candidates that are making short lists these days seem to have jack-of-all-trade CVs: typical skill sets include diverse backgrounds in marketing, operations, sales, technology, and strategy. “Aligning all of these functional orbits with the aim of increasing revenue streams is their primary task,” said Scott A. Scanlon, CEO of Hunt Scanlon Media. “Finding good ones doesn’t come easily, or cheaply. CROs are all about leverage: constantly checking supply and demand metrics to know when and where their companies might need to double down.”
“We’re delighted to have Shannon bring his terrific expertise and experiences to the BRIDGE executive team,” said David E. Olsson, chief executive officer of BRIDGE Energy Group. “Shannon‘s arrival is well timed as BRIDGE strengthens our capacity to address a significant expansion of our customers, revenues and operational performance solutions in meeting the challenges of the 21st century utility.”
Headquartered in Marlborough, MA, BRIDGE Energy Group is a consulting and systems integration solutions company focused on improving utility operational performance. BRIDGE combines business, OT and IT domain expertise to deliver and optimize innovative grid operations solutions.
ChampionScott Partners focuses on the technology industry and related sectors. With offices in Atlanta, Boston, London, Naples, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, Tokyo and Washington, D.C., the firm has an established record in recruiting CFOs for companies, including Nintex, Payspan, World Air Holdings, Sonus Networks, LookSmart, and Gadzoox.
