Charles Aris Appoints Technology Practice Leader

October 3, 2018 – The booming technology sector, vibrant even when the economy was softer, shows little sign of retreat, according to a host of recruiters who service companies across the field.

It continues, in fact, to produce capabilities and services that few imagined just a decade ago. In response, a number of search firms have expanded their technology search practices.

Greensboro, NC-based executive search firm Charles Aris Inc. recently expanded with the addition of Michael Riek as its technology practice leader.

Mr. Riek will identify and recruit senior leaders in business process services, business process outsourcing and contact centers. He will team with Charles Aris vice president Steven Stewart, who leads the firm’s technology, media and telecom (TMT) recruiting efforts.

“We’re excited about Michael joining the TMT practice,” Mr. Stewart said. “With his deep understanding of contact centers, BPS and BPO – coupled with the vast number of captive and outsourced business processes in the TMT space – Michael is an invaluable addition to the team, both for the clients we serve and Charles Aris as well.”

“I’m excited to partner with Steven, who brings a wealth of executive search experience to the table while focused in the technology vertical,” said Mr. Riek. “Our combined experience will position us well to grow the practice.”

Before joining Charles Aris, Mr. Riek started several global business process outsourcing companies focused on inbound customer care, technical support and back-office support programs. He also established contact centers in Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, India and the U.S. Previously, he served as SVP of sales and marketing, southwest, for BluSky Restoration. Before that, he was VP of sales for Client Services Inc. He has also been president of Lighthouse Sourcing, Inc., a global outsourcing firm.

Mr. Riek’s expertise in the “technology and telecom space bodes well for Charles Aris, where senior leaders are excited to pair Riek’s experience building companies from the ground up with the firm’s 14-Step Priority Search Process,” said the firm. “Together, they’ll look to continue to deliver world-class talent to client organizations.”
