Caldwell Partners Creates Professional Services Practice

December 22, 2015 – Caldwell Partners has named partner Michael DeCosta to lead its newly formed professional services practice.

With nearly 20 years of experience in executive search, Mr. DeCosta focuses on recruiting senior-level executives for consulting, accounting and law firms. Prior to joining Caldwell Partners, he was a senior client partner in both the legal specialty practice and services sector at Korn Ferry. Previously, he served as senior recruiting manager for Deloitte, where he helped launch a senior-level recruiting group focused on attracting partners and directors into the firm’s global leadership team. He began his career in the emergency medical services industry, where he served as director of marketing for one of the largest ambulance service providers in the U.S.

“Mike is an outstanding search professional with proven business and people skills,” said John Wallace, chief executive officer of Caldwell Partners. “He has a wealth of experience and industry knowledge, and has been a leader in the marketplace since he joined us in 2012. He has earned the respect and trust of his clients and colleagues and is an important addition to our leader team.”

“I am delighted to be leading Caldwell Partners’ professional services practice,” said Mr. DeCosta. “The strength of our platform and the quality of our team enables us to provide our clients with the highest level of service.”

Caldwell Partners continues to experience significant growth. Earlier this month, the firm expanded into the Australia/New Zealand market by forming a strategic partnership with Simon Monks, Nick Scarlett and their teams, based out of Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to forming his own firm, Simon Monks & Partners, Mr. Monks was a managing partner at CTPartners. Mr. Scarlett has international executive management experience and financial services industry skills attained over 15 years in APAC markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as New Zealand.

Caldwell also expanded its business into Latin America earlier in the year by forming another strategic alliance, this time with CPGROUP LATAM Ltd., a company founded by the partners that established and led the Latin American operations of CTPartners. Through the alliance, Caldwell extended its global reach significantly beyond Canada, adding 16 partners in seven offices across Latin America and Florida.
