Caldwell Partners Appoints CEO & Board Practice Leader
November 9, 2015 – Caldwell Partners has added Jay Millen as a managing partner, leader of the firm’s CEO & board practice and member of its industrial practice. Based out of Charleston, South Carolina, he joins Gerard Cameron, a partner in the firm’s financial services practice.
Mr. Millen joins Caldwell Partners from DHR International, where he served as a vice chairman and head of the firm’s board and CEO practice group for just under three years. Previously, he was a senior client partner at Korn Ferry. During his tenure there, he served as the firm’s global sector leader of basic materials and as managing director of strategic client partnerships in the Americas.
Prior to joining the executive search industry, Mr. Millen led Accenture’s London-based natural resource practice, where he focused on global mergers and acquisitions for some of the leading agribusiness, forest products, metals, mining, building materials and infrastructure businesses. Additionally, his practice group conducted client support in leadership assessment and development, market segmentation, supply chain optimization, and innovation/new product development.
“Jay Millen is a fantastic addition to our firm,” said Dave Winston, managing partner of the firm’s industrial practice. “The breadth and depth of his experience recruiting senior executives at the board and CEO level complements our existing partner team very well. In addition, his significant manufacturing and natural resources expertise will add important strength to our existing capabilities in those areas.”
“Jay brings a client-focused perspective to his practice, gained from his years as a successful industry executive and well-respected executive recruiter,” said John N. Wallace, chief executive officer. “His track record of high caliber search work at the board and CEO level is impeccable, while his personal and integral approach has earned him respect from clients, candidates and colleagues alike. The impact of his addition to the firm will be immediate from both an internal and external standpoint, and we are truly pleased to have him on the Caldwell Partners team.”
Caldwell Partners’ CEO and board practices have executed hundreds of recruitment assignments for a wide spectrum of organizations serving the community, academic and business sectors. Over the past year, Caldwell Partners has recruited the CEO for Surgical Specialties Corporation, filled a board position for therapeutic target discovery company AbVitro, Inc., and tapped the CEO for Salt Lake City-based Global Access.
