BroadView Talent Partners Recruits CEO for the YWCA of Greater Flint
November 26, 2024 – BroadView Talent Partners has helped to recruit DeAndra Larkin as the new CEO of the YWCA of Greater Flint. “Throughout her career, Larkin has chosen to work with and volunteer for organizations that have focused on improving the lives of adults, children and families in the community,” said Sandra Murphy, chair of the YWCA board of directors. “She brings a proven record of accomplishments including managing financial operations and fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders.”
Ms. Larkin, a Flint native, has a wealth of experience in leadership, operations, and strategic development within the non-profit, higher education, economic development and tourism sectors. She most recently served as chief of staff and executive director systems, operations & strategy in the office of the president at Mott Community College. Prior to that role, Ms. Larkin served in progressive roles at the Flint & Genesee Group, promoted to vice president in 2017. Early in her career she raised needed resources as the development coordinator for Whaley’s Children Center.
Ms. Larkin is also active in community service. She currently serves on the Hurley board of managers, ensuring the community has equitable access to quality healthcare. As a member of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint board of trustees, Ms. Larkin also served on the foundation’s Flint Women and Girls Fund Advisory Committee to ensure equitable access to funding for non-profits providing critical resources for women and girls. Her community leadership work includes being a member of the Flint area chapter of The Links, Incorporated and a member of Zonta Club of Flint Chapter of Zonta International, Flint.

BroadView recently assisted in the recruitment of Adero Robinson as the new executive director of Communities in Schools in Ohio. Christie Angel, Johanna Vargas, Donna Young, and Elizabeth Keyser led the assignment. Mr. Robinson previously served as the senior vice president, executive director for City Year Columbus. He also served as the organization’s chief of staff, where he was charged with overseeing the activities of the executive, human resources, and operations departments.
Mr. Robinson has over 26 years of nonprofit experience. He began his career as an AmeriCorps member with City Year Columbus serving as a tutor and mentor in a Columbus City Schools 5th grade classroom. Mr. Robinson then transitioned to a project leader, where he supervised AmeriCorps members serving at Gladstone Elementary School.
