BroadView Talent Partners Assists Signal Ohio with Chief Development Officer Search

BroadView Talent Partners has assisted in the recruitment of Danielle Muckley as the new chief development officer of Signal Ohio. The assignment was led by Christie Angel, Melania DaSilva Deaver, Robyn Quinn, and Elizabeth Keyser.
Ms. Muckley will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, enterprise-wide fundraising strategy that supports Signal Ohio’s mission and expanding network of local newsrooms. Reporting directly to the CEO, she will be responsible to create the fundraising strategy and grow revenue across diverse funding streams, including individual donors, institutional philanthropy, corporate partners, and grants, while building and managing a high-performing development team.
At Signal Ohio, Ms. Muckley’s mission is to manage top philanthropic relationships with leading corporate, foundation, and individual investors, both internally and externally. She also prospects and sources institutional grants, sponsorship, and partnership opportunities, with an emphasis on cities where Signal Ohio has a presence as well as target expansion geographies.
Ms. Muckley has a proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic partnerships that drive growth and impact. Prior to joining Signal Ohio, she served as the national director of philanthropy at Children’s Literacy Initiative, where she worked alongside her team to create and implement a comprehensive development plan. Ms. Muckley also played a critical role in helping to grow partnerships with engineering corporations in Los Angeles, Boston, and across the country as the Director of corporate partnerships, engineering and technology pathways at Thrive Scholars.

Prior to starting BroadView Talent Partners (formerly HCGA Consulting Partners) in 2015, Mr. McMillan served as the vice president of global talent acquisition for the NBA. Previously, he spent five years as a managing director at Diversified Search Group.
Ms. Angel is the leader of BroadView’s Midwest office. She has spent three decades engaging her community, building relationships, and advising leaders, all while transforming programs and organizations. Ms. Angel’s prior experience includes five years as president and CEO of YWCA Columbus. Some of Ms. Angel’s professional contributions involve working with a host of public officials and their administrations. Supporting the transition teams for Columbus mayor Andrew J. Ginther, former mayor Michael Coleman, and former Ohio governor Ted Strickland, she as an advisor to city and state leaders.
Ms. DaSilva Deaver, principal, has nearly 20 years of experience building and aligning talent functions to support strategic corporate goals for a variety of organizations. Passionate about connecting clients with top-tier candidates to build inclusive teams and diverse perspectives, she works with all sizes of organizations from start-up to Fortune 500.

Ms. Quinn, vice president and senior research associate, is an experienced research and recruiting professional with a demonstrated history of accomplishments within the executive search and corporate recruiting sectors. Her areas of industry expertise include non-profit, healthcare and fundraising/development.
Ms. Young manages BroadView Talent Partners’ administrative, organizational, search and candidate logistical support. She specializes in project management, customer relationships, marketing, social media, client/corporate communications, graphic design, and sales. Ms. Young was a founder/partner of Interrobang Design, a design firm based in NYC, with clients such as Random House, Tourneau, and Unilever.
Ms. Keyser is an associate and conducts formal and informal referencing and social media and reputation screens for finalist candidates in leadership positions in the non-profit, affordable housing, and mid-market sectors. She interviews multiple references, conducts research, and prepares reports. Ms. Keyer has 20 years of experience as a writer, editor, and content creator for websites, magazines, and newspapers, covering a range of topics and industries.
Communities in Schools in Ohio Search
BroadView recently assisted in the recruitment of Adero Robinson as the new executive director of Communities in Schools in Ohio. Mr. Robinson previously served as the senior vice president, executive director for City Year Columbus. He also served as the organization’s chief of staff, where he was charged with overseeing the activities of the executive, human resources, and operations departments.
Mr. Robinson has over 26 years of nonprofit experience. He began his career as an AmeriCorps member with City Year Columbus serving as a tutor and mentor in a Columbus City Schools 5th grade classroom. Mr. Robinson then transitioned to a project leader, where he supervised AmeriCorps members serving at Gladstone Elementary School.
