Artico Search Recruits Chief Revenue Officer for Spryker
May 13, 2024 – Mercedes Chatfield-Taylor and Sarah Scheer of Artico Search have assisted in the recruitment of Dustin Deno as the new chief revenue officer of Spryker, a global composable commerce platform for sophisticated use cases in B2B, enterprise marketplaces, and IoT commerce. “We are thrilled to have Dustin join the Spryker leadership team,” said Boris Lokschin, co-founder and CEO at Spryker. “His innovative mindset and active pulse on new ways to approach business and leverage our global partner ecosystem will propel our sales execution to the next level, drive more value for our customers, and expand our footprint in North America. As we continue to expand globally, enterprises will continue to face volatility in all markets and it’s our aim to provide the technology and ecosystem support to ensure our customers can meet their business goals efficiently.”
Mr. Deno brings over 15 years of experience in enterprise sales with previous positions at Salesforce, Showpad, and Affinity.co. He also advises a number of organizations whose focus areas are adjacent to Spryker including Sales Assembly, Amper Technologies Inc., and Copilot, bringing knowledge and perspectives from the sales, manufacturing, and AI fields, respectively. Mr. Deno will be focused on operationalizing the sales process so it can continue to scale, enabling ecosystem led-growth, transforming the organization to a value realization based approach, and driving direct revenue in North America and other core regions.
“I’m proud to announce that I’m joining the Spryker herd and I’m excited to continue to build on Spryker’s global ecosystem and partner-first go to market approach,” said Mr. Deno. “Working closely with our solutions and technology partners, like Amazon Web Services (AWS), strengthens our ability to offer enterprises the edge they need to stay agile and ahead. The next five years are going to change more in sales than they have in the last ten. New capabilities, such as AI, present a unique opportunity for sales people to be more relevant than ever before by solving customer problems faster and enabling them to unlock true business value, all at scale. How well we experiment and adapt will determine our success.”

Designed specifically for sophisticated transactional businesses, Spryker’s headless, API-first model offers a best-of-breed approach that provides businesses the flexibility to adapt, scale, and quickly go to market while facilitating faster time-to-value. Evolving Role
The chief revenue officer essentially owns everything that goes to market – sales, account management, customer success, and sometimes marketing as well. Finding these types of leaders has kept search firms busy. Here is a sampling from the Hunt Scanlon Media archives:
ON Partners’ Tindall (Sewell) Hein and Jake Espenlaub recently helped recruit Brett Friedman as the new chief revenue officer of Logile, Inc., a Dallas, TX-based retail labor planning, workforce management, inventory management, and store execution provider. “Brett is the right leader to bring in now,’’ said Purna Mishra, president and CEO of Logile. “He is a visionary sales and marketing executive with a track record of propelling growth at retail technology and workforce management SaaS companies similarly situated to Logile. His deep knowledge of retail, and the global retail market, as well as his experience leading global sales and marketing efforts, will further drive Logile’s revenue growth and provide exceptional value to our customers.”
Benchmark Executive Search, a boutique provider of cybersecurity talent, has recruited Brett Alexander as chief revenue officer of Firefly Aerospace, an end-to-end space transportation company with launch, lunar, and on-orbit services. “We retained Benchmark because this is absolutely a can’t miss role for us, and we knew we needed the right industry leader to join our team at this exciting time in our growth,” said Bill Weber, CEO at Firefly Aerospace. “I knew Benchmark would deliver exactly that person – and they did in Brett Alexander.”
Artico Search assisted in the recruitment of start-up-scaling veteran Tyler Baldwin as the new chief revenue officer of CharterUP. “His proficiency in leadership, strategic planning and business optimization makes him an ideal candidate to join our team at CharterUP,” said Armir Harris, founder and CEO. “As chief revenue officer, Tyler will play an instrumental role in propelling CharterUP’s overall growth strategy as we continue to expand our presence nationwide.” Mr. Baldwin brings a track record in sales, strategy, and operations, making him well-suited to drive CharterUP’s continued growth in the group transportation industry. His experience includes holding several C-level positions, such as CRO and CEO, at Reali, as well as key influential roles at prestigious organizations like LinkedIn, McKinsey & Company. and Pinterest.
