TRANSEARCH Strengthens Melbourne Office
May 19, 2016 – TRANSEARCH International has added Michael Catlow as a senior consultant in Melbourne, Australia. He has 30 years of experience in operational and strategic management.
Prior to joining TRANSEARCH, Mr. Catlow was managing director of Boyden in Australia, where he completed and led executive searches across the APAC region, focusing mainly on board positions. He chaired both the firm’s global compliance committee and its mining and resources industries practice group.
Mr. Catlow has deep experience identifying senior executives such as CEO and other C-suite positions. This has included providing strategic advice to corporations in attracting key leadership through the management of multiple global assignments with organizations in the technology, industrial, transportation, consumer, manufacturing, mining / resources and not-for-profit sectors.
His professional career kicked off at the Pacific Dunlop Group where he held management positions in its textile businesses, ranging from operations, sales, brand management, quality assurance and logistics. He worked in various locations, including India, China and Brazil during his 15 year period with Pacific Dunlop. In the mid-1990′s he accepted a pivotal international sales and marketing role with Swiss Group, Benninger AG, living and working in Germany. During this time he led export sales in China, Indonesia, Africa, Philippines, the U.K., Turkey and Australia & New Zealand.
TRANSEARCH has been seen expanding in various other regions around the globe:
- Just recently, the firm launched a new office in Strasbourg, France with the addition of consultants from Neuman & Partners France. Marie-Helene Sohler and Gonzalo de Pedro joined TRANSEARCH as managing directors, along with their support team of executive search professionals. Both recruiters were part of Neumann & Partners, a firm that was acquired by now-defunct CTPartners and subsequently acquired by Chicago-based DHR International as part of its asset acquisition of CTPartners last year.
- At the beginning of the year, it added Vanessa Fisk and Jack Khabbaz to its Middle East team as search consultants. Ms. Fisk, who joined TRANSEARCH in Dubai, has extensive experience across the financial services sector, holding a variety of C-suite positions in a number of global institutions in both advanced financial centers as well as emerging and underdeveloped markets. Mr. Khabbaz, who is a senior client partner in Dubai, has 16 years of recruitment, consulting and commercial experience across Australia and the UAE working on both the client and supplier side.
- TRANSEARCH also strengthened its team in India with the additions of Ketaki Gupte, Radhika Vivek, and Anuj Roy. Ms.Gupte, who joined the firm as a director, has over 35 years of experience in the service and recruiting industry with knowledge in consumer markets, media, advertising, marketing and HR. Ms. Vivek, based in Mumbai, is a partner in the firm’s consumer practice as well as for the outsourcing & BPO practice of TRANSEARCH India. She has over 20 years of experience, over 17 years of which have been in executive search. Mr. Roy is a partner with TRANSEARCH India and heads the firm’s digital practice. He has more than 10 years of experience in executive search, consulting and strategy.
