ZRG Launches Cyber Security Search Practice

May 26, 2015 – West Orange, NJ-based ZRG Partners has launched a new cyber security and government / defense recruitment practice with the additions of search consultants Stephen Spagnuolo and Phoebe Henderson.

Finding cyber security leadership is one of the fastest growing segments of the talent acquisition business, according to Hunt Scanlon Media in its coming ‘State of the Industry’ forecast report. “The global cyber security market is undergoing tremendous change and radical reform,” said Scott A. Scanlon, the report’s editor-in-chief. “As companies transition their capabilities to broader security frameworks that have cyber security at their core, we believe the next 10 years will see intense growth in the recruitment of professional level talent in this sector.” ZRG and a number of its rivals, reports Hunt Scanlon, are positioning themselves to take advantage of a rapidly maturing business need that is expected to come from clients in the U.S., Europe and Asia as the rush to build out global cyber leadership solutions quickens.

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Mr. Spagnuolo served with distinction as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry officer, deploying to multiple overseas contingencies. He began his career in executive search with Russell Reynolds Associates’ global banking and markets practice. Most recently, he founded SASearch Advisors, deploying an extensive network across Wall Street and the national security communities to help bridge companies’ emerging cyber security needs. At ZRG, he will split time working out of the firm’s metro New York and Washington, D.C. offices.

With over a decade of executive search experience, Ms. Henderson has successfully led and executed dozens of senior level searches across the federal, technology (IT, hardware, software, solutions), healthcare, aerospace & defense, intelligence, satellite, geo-spatial and construction/engineering markets for public, private, and private equity-backed companies. She was previously a partner with Northwind Partners and prior to that she was with Benchmark Executive Search where she was a managing partner. Ms. Henderson will be based in ZRG’s Washington, D.C. office.

“Cybersecurity is a prevailing strategic priority for most of our clients, whether their domain is financial services or consumer/retail or private equity-backed manufacturing,” said Larry Hartmann, CEO. “We at ZRG are thrilled and emboldened to be positioned at the tip of the spear in advising corporate management teams and their boards on the right talent solutions to develop and enhance robust capabilities along the continuum of defensive and offensive cyber initiatives.”

ZRG Partners provides human capital services to several key markets including financial services, healthcare & life sciences, technology, energy, and education. The firm was named to Hunt Scanlon’s Top 50 Americas recruiter rankings this year, recording a 45 percent revenue spike.
