Waterford Global Leading CEO Search for Southern Health–Santé Sud

April 29, 2026 – Winnipeg, Canada-based Waterford Global Inc. is currently leading the CEO search for Southern Health–Santé Sud (SH-SS). The search is nearing shortlist presentation stage. Working with an engaged board and leading a committed and experienced executive team, this is an opportunity to provide executive-level leadership as CEO of Southern Health-Santé Sud and to build upon a strong foundation of community impact, to envision and create a sustainable and vibrant future for SH-SS, and to ensure the organization’s continued relevancy and impact in serving its constituent communities.
Reporting to the board of directors, the CEO of Southern Health-Santé Sud is the senior-most executive responsible for the overall strategic leadership, operational oversight, and mission alignment of the organization. The CEO ensures that SH-SS fulfills its purpose and successfully executes on its strategic priorities. In advancing the region’s strategic plan and priorities, the CEO also ensures the development of innovative solutions and responses to new and emerging needs among communities in the region.
In providing overall leadership to the organization, the CEO is expected to lead in a manner that best reflects the interests of the organization and its communities, employees, volunteers, partners, the public, government, and other stakeholders while upholding the values of SH-SS, according to the job specification. As the primary spokesperson for SH-SS, the CEO is responsible for advocacy efforts on behalf of the organization, and for maintaining open and transparent communication with the board of directors.

Southern Health–Santé Sud is one of five regional health authorities in the province of Manitoba, Canada, responsible for delivering a range of healthcare services to residents across a largely rural and small urban geographic area. The region covers communities in southern Manitoba, including areas near the U.S. border and extending west and east of Winnipeg. SH-SS oversees hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health programs, providing services such as primary care, public health, mental health support, and emergency care.
