Ward Howell International Expands to Cleveland
October 6, 2020 – Ward Howell International has expanded to Cleveland with the addition of Matt Clemens as managing partner to lead the new location.
Mr. Clemens has more than 25 years of executive search, recruiting and operational experience. Specifically, he has conducted assignments for chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief operating officers, division presidents, general managers and functional heads of sales, marketing, human resources, engineering and supply chain management.
Mr. Clemens has worked with small to Fortune 500 public, private companies and private equity firms in areas of industrial and consumer manufacturing, business services and distribution/logistics portfolio companies. Specific industries include: business services, industrial distribution, machinery/equipment, aerospace, instrumentation, test and measurement, automation and controls, life sciences, fluid power and motion control, oil and gas, smart grid, power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, transportation/logistics, automotive/heavy duty truck, building/home products and refrigeration/HVAC.
Currently, Mr. Clemens serves as managing director and principal of Waverly Partners. Prior to that, he was a director at Christian & Timbers and Stratford Group. Earlier in his career, he served as director for the professional recruiting division of Spherion Corp. He began his career in a series of sales and operations management assignments with General Electric and Roadway Express Corp. Mr. Clemens holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Villanova University and an MBA from Cleveland State University.
