The Christopher Group Recruits Head of Human Resources for IVS Group

March 11, 2024 – The Christopher Group (TCG), a boutique HR executive search and business solutions recruiting firm, has placed Jim Carpenter as the new head of human resources at IVS Group, a trusted source in the industrial services and infrastructure-related construction industries. Managing partner, Tobin Anselmi and recruiting director, Morgan Booker, headed the assignment. “Morgan and I truly enjoy working with Keith May, IVS Group CEO on this important search and we are excited for Jim to join this growing enterprise and move their HR function to the next level,” said Dr. Anselmi.

As the head of HR, Mr. Carpenter will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the administrative functions of the organization. He will oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for new staff, consult with top executives on strategic planning, and act as a bridge between management and employees. Mr. Carpenter will provide HR leadership by implementing and managing corporate-wide programs related to talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and career development. He will also work to foster a collaborative culture, establish trust with the leadership team, and serve as the visible face of HR to all employees.

In addition, Mr. Carpenter is in charge of addressing and advising management and the executive team on employee relations and discipline matters. He will assess current HR processes and structure and develop a three to five year strategy roadmap, identifying and addressing immediate opportunities for improvement. Additionally, Mr. Carpenter will assist in the management of the ESOP program and provide on-going education on the ESOP to the employee base.

Mr. Carpenter is a seasoned HR and operations professional with over 25 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has held various positions where he managed a wide range of responsibilities, including developing and overseeing benefits programs, conducting performance management and appraisals, handling internal and external employee recruitment and retention, resolving conflicts, managing employee relations, negotiating contracts, and implementing workforce planning.
