Spencer Stuart to Lead GM CEO Search

December 10, 2009 – General Motors Corporation has selected Spencer Stuart to lead in its search for a new chief executive officer. The interim chief, Ed Whitacre, was also selected by Spencer Stuart. Detroit-based General Motors Corp., one of the world's largest automakers, was founded in 1908, and today manufactures cars and trucks in 34 countries. Founded in 1956 and privately owned, Spencer Stuart is an executive search consulting firm with 51 offices in 27 countries.
