Slone Partners Names President

July 25, 2024 – Life sciences-focused search firm Slone Partners has appointed biotech and biopharma executive Eric Fink as managing partner and president. “Eric Fink is an extremely accomplished industry leader with deep expertise in almost all facets of business operations and growth strategies,” said Leslie Loveless, managing partner and CEO. “He joins our leadership team at a pivotal time in our evolution as we expand our line of recruiting and advisory services and integrate AI into our operational infrastructure to enrich the client and candidate experience.”
As president, Mr. Fink will oversee Slone Partners’ marketing, finance, human resources, consulting services, and strategic growth areas, including fractional talent placements. He will work alongside Ms. Loveless and founder and chairman Adam Slone to scale the firm through new business models and initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Fink will collaborate closely with chief operating officer Alicia Montgomery to enhance the company’s business practices and systems to ensure the most effective, quality-oriented, and efficient client experience.
Mr. Fink brings nearly 25 years of diversified experience building and scaling teams, capabilities, and companies across various functional areas and stages, evolving global life sciences companies from start-up through mid-cap. Throughout his career, he has served in several operational leadership roles across commercial, human capital, IT, legal, communications, and finance, and has counseled executive teams and boards of directors on enterprise-wide strategy, opportunities, and risks.

Prior to joining Slone Partners, Mr. Fink served as COO of ABio-X Holdings, a private Boston-based investment and incubation company, where he built and scaled the G&A and operating functions of the company and its portfolio companies. Before that, he served as chief human resources officer at Silence Therapeutics; CHRO at Freeline Therapeutics; executive vice president, CHRO at Global Blood Therapeutics; and in a variety of leadership roles ending as vice president, human resources at Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

In 2000, Mr. Slone founded Slone Partners and acted as CEO from 2000 to 2016. He remains chairman today. His industry knowledge and extensive contacts have enabled Slone Partners to place thousands of executives and industry professionals. Today, Mr. Slone remains engaged with Slone Partners, with a specific focus in strategy, finance, M&A advisement, and business development in Boston and California.

Earlier this year, Slone Partners expanded its footprint in the private equity, healthcare, and non-profit executive search markets with the promotion of two senior leaders. As a business leader and fundraiser with more than 20 years of experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, Ms. Burke has maintained her focus on the intersection of philanthropy, health equity, and mission-driven work. She is a part of the Slone Partners’ leadership team where she helps to elevate and expand the company’s business portfolio.
Ms. Portland has more than 20 years of experience in recruiting, executive search, investment banking, and healthcare consulting. Prior to joining Slone Partners, she was head of executive talent at Water Street, a Chicago-based private equity firm with a focus on investing in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.
