Simon Pollock & Co. alliance Sucherman Group

February 6, 2018 – London-headquartered executive search firm Simon Pollock & Co. and New York-based Sucherman Group are partnering to help one another serve clients in their respective across-the-pond markets.

Both firms are dedicated to finding leaders in the media and entertainment space.

“My global clients are all looking to do more business in the U.S. and I couldn’t be more delighted to work with Sucherman Group as our exclusive partner in that most important market,” said founder Simon Pollock.

Erik Sorenson, CEO of Sucherman Group, returned the compliment. “For several years, we’ve been strategizing on how to grow with our clients as they expand beyond the North American market and Simon is the first global partner to meet our high standards and values,” he said. “Simon’s firm has a unique combination of global media experience along with an intimate knowledge of executive search.”

Mr. Pollock launched his firm in October after serving as head of the media & entertainment practice at Heidrick & Struggles. Before that, he was a partner at the SevenArts, a boutique search firm specializing in media, communication and entertainment businesses. Before entering executive search, Mr. Pollack served as senior vice president at Media Audits International and vice president and managing director EMEA and Asia at A+E Television Networks.

“Because content can travel as never before in unprecedented ways, media and entertainment companies are truly global today,” said Stuart F. Sucherman, the firm’s chairman and founder. “Regardless of where clients are based, they require trustworthy expertise across the globe. We have great respect for Simon and look forward to a long and fruitful union.”

Mr. Pollock emphasized the strength of his organization. “If you operate in the media sector in any country in the world and need to appoint senior executives, I and my colleagues will find them,” he said. “No one knows more about who’s who and what’s what in media than we do.”

With offices in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Sucherman Group is a management consulting and executive search firm that specializes in working with a wide range of media and entertainment companies. Its clients include cable and broadcast television networks, motion picture and television studios, broadcast stations and station groups, online media organizations, publishers, consumer-facing technology companies and social media platforms.
