Rokos Group Recruits Chief Medical Officer for Alameda Health System

Dr. Laurent most recently served as chief medical officer at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. She is a board-certified radiologist and experienced physician leader who previously served as the Central Iowa Market chief medical officer at MercyOne in Des Moines. Previously, Dr. Laurent served as chief medical officer for CommonSpirit Health at CHI St. Alexius in Bismarck, ND. She was an independent practitioner for over 20 years and served as chief of staff at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.

Dr. Laurent received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, followed by a cross-sectional imaging fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a prominent Harvard Medical School teaching hospital.

Ms. Laurent will serve as the senior medical leader and strategic visionary for Alameda Health System. Collaborating closely with clinical chiefs, department chairs, the president of the medical staff, and other medical leaders, she will ensure seamless alignment between clinical priorities and operational goals.

Alameda Health System stands as a cornerstone of public health care in the region, encompassing five hospitals and four wellness centers, with over 800 beds and a network of 1,000 dedicated physicians. Founded in 1864, as the Alameda County Infirmary, AHS has built a rich legacy of service, innovation, and community commitment. Today the organization has 4,500 employees.

Keck Medicine of USC Search

Rokos Group was recently retained by Keck Medicine of USC to lead its search for a new CFO. Reporting to the president and CEO of USC Health System, the CFO serves as the senior-most financial leader across the entire health system. This individual is responsible for directing a comprehensive, high-performing financial organization that supports the clinical enterprise while aligning with the academic and research goals of the university.

The CFO serves as a strategic partner and advisor to a broad set of institutional leaders, including the CFOs of the University and Keck School of Medicine, the CEOs of Keck Medical Center, USC Verdugo Hills Hospital, USC Arcadia Hospital, and USC Care Medical Group. The role also requires active engagement with the USC and Health System Board of Trustees and governance committees.
