Resource Management Group Expands Financial Officer Practice

March 23, 2026 – Resource Management Group (RMG), an executive search firm specializing in CFO placements, has expanded with the addition of Craig Sigovich as a partner in the financial officer practice. “We are thrilled to welcome Craig to RMG,” said Denis LaPolice, CEO of RMG. “He is nationally recognized for his work across the CFO market, and his roots and career trajectory have closely paralleled my own. Craig brings the judgment, relationships, and market perspective that align with how we are building the firm for the future, and his experience will further strengthen our processes while reinforcing the high-touch model our clients value.”

Mr. Sigovich brings more than 25 years of executive search experience specializing in the recruitment of chief financial officers and senior finance leaders for private equity–backed and public companies. Over the course of his career, he has conducted more than 400 CFO and financial officer searches, advising private equity sponsors, boards, and CEOs on the selection of finance leaders capable of leading organizations through key inflection points including operational transformation, organic and acquisition led growth and liquidity events.

Prior to joining RMG, Mr. Sigovich launched the financial officer practice Hunt Club and previously served as partner and managing partner within the financial officer practices of global search firms DHR Global and Spencer Stuart, and True Search. Earlier in his career, he spent nine years with a boutique retained search firm where he played a key role in building the firm’s financial officer practice and helped introduce a proprietary culture-fit assessment methodology designed to improve executive hiring outcomes.

Mr. Sigovich has extensive experience across a broad range of sectors including industrials, consumer, services, healthcare and technology, with 15 years of experience supporting private equity-backed business across a number of strategies.

Commitment to Clients

“RMG’s commitment to clients, the CFO community, and building a true specialty practice—with relationships at the center of its model—is a meaningful differentiator in today’s highly competitive CFO market,” said Mr. Sigovich. “Even as we continue to tech-enable our services and incorporate AI into workflows, the firm’s relationships-first approach remains the foundation for growth. I’m excited to be part of that momentum.”

Winning the CFO Talent War in a Competitive PE Market

Competition for experienced chief financial officers in private equity-backed companies has intensified as sponsors pursue growth, exits, and operational transformation on tighter timelines. In today’s candidate-driven environment, firms are finding that traditional recruiting approaches are no longer sufficient to secure high-impact finance leaders. Success increasingly hinges on proactive relationship-building, precise role calibration, and the ability to move with speed and conviction before top talent is drawn into competing processes.

In a candidate-driven CFO market, Resource Management Group (RMG) helps PE sponsors win talent by operating ahead of the market. “We maintain continuous relationships with sitting PE-backed CFOs, CFO-ready #2s, and executives approaching exits or transitions, so we often know who’s likely to move before a search formally launches,” said Jonathan Gould, partner at RMG. Because the firm’s outreach is senior-level, confidential, and highly targeted—not broad recruiting. They work with sponsors early to sharpen the scorecard, move quickly, and deliver a small, high-conviction slate.

With offices in Stamford, CT, and New York City, RMG is a boutique financial recruitment firm specializing in executive-level finance positions. The firm provides its clients with an exclusive slate of competitive candidates for finance and accounting roles, ranging from director-level to executive positions. RMG has built strong partnerships with Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, high-growth businesses, and both public and private companies.

Mr. LaPolice founded RMG in 1993 and brings over 25 years of experience in executive search and talent advisory. He leads the firm’s CFO and private equity practices, working with major corporations like Honeywell, General Electric, PepsiCo, and Boeing, as well as private equity firms seeking top-tier CFOs and finance teams for high-growth companies. His expertise spans industries such as consumer products, industrial manufacturing, technology, distribution, business services, media, and healthcare services.
