Renovata & Company Recruits Chief Product Officer for Deltatre

March 20, 2024 – Today’s chief product officer is responsible for all product-related matters, and the role is growing in demand, according to executive recruiters who place them. The position typically includes product conception and development, production, innovation, and project and product management. In many IT/ telecommunications companies, the position includes release management and production. Global executive search and private equity advisory firm Renovata & Company has recruited Alex Gruber as chief product officer of Deltatre, the global leader in fan experience technology in London. “Alex is a dynamic customer-focused product management leader with over 15 years of experience in building businesses, teams, and bringing products to market”, said Lisa Morgan, principal at Renovata. “His expertise in infusing agility into both established and early-stage businesses will be a great asset to the organization. Mr. Gruber brings over 25 years of experience having held multiple product leadership positions, most recently as VP of product at public safety software company, Carbyne, where he was responsible for the strategic mission of the product. Before this, he worked at Vonage, part of Ericsson, where he was VP of product management, and as director of product at healthcare startup, SigmaCare.

Based in the U.S., and reporting to Mr. Marini, Mr. Gruber will oversee the delivery of the company’s award-winning suite of products, which includes video experience platform – DIVA, user experience application platform – AXIS, publishing platform – FORGE, and integrated streaming platform – D3 VOLT. He will also oversee the work carried out by Deltatre’s Innovation Lab.

Renovata & Company has placed Sameer Katiyar as chief financial officer of Cleo, an ecosystem integration software company in Rockford, IL. Partner Jeff Yolen and consultant Judie Norkaitis led the assignment. Mr. Katiyar will oversee the company’s global finance, accounting, legal, and corporate IT functions. “Sameer brings more than 20 years of experience in the software and technology sectors to his new role,” says Mr. Yolen. “He has held CFO and other leadership positions overseeing financial planning and analysis, treasury, corporate development, operations, and business transformation in public company and private-equity environments.”
