Recruiting Mandates for Top Sales Professionals On The Rise

September 23, 2015 – Executive search firm Fairfield Partners has placed Tamara Brown as senior vice president of sales for Mineral Fusion, a leading natural cosmetics and personal care company based in Denver. The company is owned by North Castle Partners, a leading private equity firm in the health & wellness space. Ms. Brown was formerly VP global sales at Alterna Haircare, which was acquired by Henkel last year.

“North Castle Partners introduced us to Mineral Fusion, which is a portfolio company of theirs,” said Brian Curry, managing partner of Fairfield Partners, who led the assignment. “PE firms are aggressively helping their portfolio companies drive revenues and market share in the space. We have now done over a dozen VP sales & marketing searches in the natural space, which were initiated on the investor side.”

Mr. Curry said that in the early stage / startup to $50 million segment of the natural products space, once companies establish their product foundation the next stage is to achieve rapid scaling. “Acquiring an outstanding head of sales for this company therefore was critical. And because of the health and growth of the natural products segment, we have seen a tremendous demand for top sales leadership across the board.”

Thomas Brown, chief executive of Mineral Fusion Natural Brands, said he needed a top SVP sales executive who could take the company’s growing natural cosmetics and personal care business to the next level. “Fairfield Partners presented outstanding candidates and worked closely with us to help us select the best candidate for the role.”

Fairfield Partners has a growing track record of placing sales and marketing executives at leading consumer products-oriented companies. The firm has recruited the VP of marketing at Angie’s BOOMCHICKAPOP; chief marketing officer at Brownie Brittle; VP of marketing at KIND Snacks; VP of sales of NatureBox; and VP of sales for San Carlos, CA-based NatureBox. Headquartered in Stamford, the firm specializes in placing high impact leaders in the enterprise technology, digital media, healthcare IT, and consumer products industries.
