Brian Aston is Senior Partner & Co-Leader of the firm’s national healthcare practice based in Atlanta and brings over 25 years of executive healthcare experience; A nationally recognized leader in our industry, Brian is a trusted strategic advisor to Boards of Trustees, Executives, and Physician Leaders throughout the country. Brian has led some of the largest and most complex CEO, COO, CFO, CMO, CNO, CHRO, CQO, Chancellor, Physician Executive, Department Chair, and other key searches in the country; he brings to each search a compelling and deep personal executive experience with a unique perspective having previously served in high-level executive roles in large health systems.

Brian has previously served as the SVP and COO for a 5-hospital, $1.8 billion system ranked as a Top 50 health system by US News & World Report with over 10,000 employees, President of a 760-bed teaching hospital, President of a 300 employed physician enterprise, and Corporate EVP & Hospital CEO for a $500 million health system where he led an unprecedented financial turnaround. Merging his unique national network of trusted colleagues, with his vast industry and executive search knowledge, along with his own consultative approach, Brian consistently delivers exceptional results to his clients; he is recognized for the quality of his work, his relationships, and helping organizations build top-tier executive teams, achieve unprecedented margins, deliver market-moving physician alignment strategies, and enhance quality outcomes.

Brian earned a B.S. degree in Commerce & Business Administration from The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a Masters of Science degree in Health Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Brian is an Adjunct Professor for UAB in Health Services Administration, a Board member on the UAB Health Services MSHA Alumni Board, an Affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and serves on multiple other Boards of professional and community-based organizations.
