Principal Connections Tapped by Clann Credo to Find New CEO

November 18, 2020 – Ireland-based executive search firm Principal Connections has been selected by Clann Credo to lead its search for a new chief executive officer. Practice leader Darren McCabe is heading the assignment. Reporting to the chairperson and the voluntary board of directors, the CEO will determine and formulate strategies and policies and provide the overall direction for Clann Credo within the guidelines set and agreed. The CEO will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the operational and financial activities of the organization together with the senior management team.

The role will involve liaison with the board on the delivery of the strategy, the achievement of objectives and wider issues around governance. Spokesperson duties in addition to working to influence public policy and developing strategic alliances with external bodies concerning social finance will be important facets of the post.

The winning candidate will be an energetic, driven and hands-on senior leader with an understanding of social finance or other relevant funding models. “The appointee will be able to clearly demonstrate social justice orientation and possess a solid understanding of corporate governance, together with financial acumen and excellent communication, innovation and public representation skills,” Principal Connections said. “A commitment to the mission, vision and values of Clann Credo is an essential requirement.”
