Odgers Berndtson Strengthens Sports Industry Search Practice
May 6, 2013 – Executive search firm Odgers Berndtson has appointed Andy Dolich to further develop its North American sports industry executive search practice. Mr. Dolich has more than four decades of experience in the professional sports industry, having held senior executive positions in the National Football League (NFL), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), and Major League Baseball (MLB). Previously, he held two executive positions in the NBA, including president of business operations for the Memphis Grizzlies and president and COO of the Golden State Warriors. Earlier, he served EVP of MLB’s Oakland Athletics where, under his leadership, attendance increased by more than 300 percent to 2.9 million and season ticket sales reached a franchise record. “Andy is the real deal,” said Steve Potter, managing partner for Odgers Berndtson’s U.S. operations. “He is unquestionably one of the nation’s leading sports industry executives and few individuals have the depth and breadth of his experience. There is no shortage of executives wanting to work in the sports industry, but Andy has the knowledge and insight to determine the requisite skills and talents needed to place them in appropriate assignments where they can be successful. He gives us a major competitive edge.” Odgers Berndtson provides executive search services to a wide array of industries.
