Myers McRae Recruits President for Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College

June 10, 2025 – Macon, GA-based Myers McRae Executive Search and Consulting has assisted in the recruitment of Michelle Trawick as the new president of Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College. She will officially assume the role July 31. “We are so pleased to welcome Dr. Trawick back to Kentucky,” said Ryan Quarles, president of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. “As a first-generation college graduate with deep Kentucky roots, she brings not only a wealth of academic leadership but a personal understanding of the life-changing power of education. Dr. Trawick currently serves as a distinguished professor of economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and previously held the role of John Becker Dean, professor of economics, for UNO’s College of Business Administration. Prior to her time at UNO, she spent nearly 20 years at WKU, where she advanced through faculty ranks to serve in leadership roles, including associate provost for faculty and academic excellence and associate dean for faculty and administration at the Gordon Ford College of Business.
Throughout her almost 30 years in higher education, Dr. Trawick has won numerous awards for teaching, research, and student advising, with almost half of that time in administration, advancing the success of students, faculty, and staff.

Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College is a public community college in Bowling Green, KY. It is an open-admissions college and a member of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System. The college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Myers McRae is currently leading the search for Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University’s 13th president. The search is chaired by Deveron Gibbons, vice chair of the Florida A&M board of trustees, and will be guided by a presidential search committee that is representative of the broader university community and constituencies.
