McDermott + Bull Recruits CIO for KeyPoint

April 9, 2021 – Irvine, CA-based search firm McDermott + Bull recently placed Drew Manning as the new chief information officer of KeyPoint Credit Union. The assignment was led by president Brandon Biegenzahn, vice president Michelle Davis, and senior executive recruiter Courtney Dorrel. “Drew is passionate about building alignment between the business units and the technology department,” said Brad Canfield, president and CEO of KeyPoint. “With our focus on building a leading-edge digital experience, his knowledge and experience will help KeyPoint grow and better service our members.”

Mr. Manning is a seasoned and highly regarded executive who brings over 25 years of experience in information technology with experience in IT strategy, mobile/digital products, cloud infrastructure, SaaS/production operations, customer support and security/compliance. Prior to joining KeyPoint, he was senior vice president at FIS, leading information technology for FIS Mobile from 2013 to 2018, and where he most recently served as the continuous delivery practice leader. In this role, Mr. Manning led multiple project managers and a security and compliance team, bringing continuous integration and development to all of FIS’ platforms. Prior to FIS, he led all information technology for mFoundry, which was acquired by FIS and rebranded as FIS Mobile in 2008.

KeyPoint is a full-service, not-for-profit credit union with seven Silicon Valley community branches and 62,000 members. It serves as the official credit union for Apple employees.

Ms. Davis leads all internal execution strategy for the firm’s financial services practice group. With nearly 10 years of recruiting experience, she initially focused on technology leadership before transitioning into financial services.

Ms. Dorrel partners with the principal consultants on executive level searches. Her prior professional experience includes admissions recruitment for a nationally-recognized trade college, as well as recruiting for technology and pharmaceutical/medical device professionals at small boutique firms.

Acertitude assisted in the placement of Julie Rafferty as chief information officer for private equity-backed Turkey Hill, the fourth largest-selling premium ice cream brand. Co-founder and managing partner Rick DeRose and principal Jessica Tvelia led the assignment. The search was completed in just 76 days. Ms. Rafferty brings a demonstrated track-record working for diverse, global fast-moving consumer goods organizations. Most recently, she served as the chief information officer of Pinnacle Foods.

Brentwood, TN-based search firm The Human Capital Group | a Gallagher Company placed Dolores Quezada-Mears as CIO at Hensel Phelps in Greeley, CO. “Our client has reinforced that they are thrilled with the process and outcome,” said Steve Hayes, senior managing director. “We presented a slate of vetted finalists within 20 business days, as guaranteed, and the executive team hired Dolores from that initial slate. She is a great addition to the Hensel Phelps team!” Ms. Quezada-Mears has spent the past 10 years serving in executive IT leadership roles at CRH Building Materials in Atlanta.

Acertitude has recruited Justin Sheppard as CIO for Enlivant, one of the nation’s largest senior living owners and operators with a presence in 27 states across the U.S. Co-founder and managing partner Rick DeRose spearheaded the assignment. Acertitude’s search took 105 days. Mr. DeRose, who has a strong record of placing CIOs and IT leaders, collaborated closely with Enlivant’s president and chief operating officer Dan Guill, chief human resources officer Peter Smith and TPG Capital CIO advisor Ron Kim.
