Marlin Hawk Expands Financial Services Practice In New York
August 9, 2016 – Executive search firm Marlin Hawk has added Glenn Allen as a senior consultant in its financial services practice in New York. Mr. Allen will provide market intelligence, talent management and executive search services to a range of clients — from investment banking, asset management and hedge funds to consumer banking, credit cards and mobile payments companies.
For the past five years, Mr. Allen has been a senior talent acquisition contractor at Citi, in charge of executive recruitment for capital markets and consumer banking. Prior to that he worked for executive search boutiques DS Wolf and Harrison Kat Group, focusing on hedge fund and asset management clients. He also has in-house HR experience gained at Lehman Brothers and Fidelity Investments.
Financial services constitutes a significant portion of Marlin Hawk’s U.S. business. “This key appointment reinforces our commitment to its continuing growth, from both a revenue and customer experience perspective”, said Lisa Peacock-Edwards, head of financial services, Americas. “Glenn will be a great addition to the team. He has a proven track record managing high level searches as well as crafting offers, including sign-ons, guaranteed and target bonuses, equity buyouts and deferred awards.”

Marlin Hawk is a global leadership advisory and executive search boutique offering talent management and leadership advisory solutions services that include executive search, market intelligence & benchmarking, interim management, project services and leadership assessment. The firm has offices in London, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.
Just this past June, the firm named Marc Baloch as associate partner for Asia. He focuses on leadership advisory and executive search services across Asia within the insurance, consumer & wholesale banking and private wealth management sectors. Mr. Baloch joined Marlin Hawk from Harvey Nash, where he headed its retail financial services practice.
Marlin Hawk has also recently promoted John-Claude Hesketh and Lisa Peacock-Edwards to serve as partners. Mr. Hesketh is responsible for the financial services & insurance practice at the firm across the U.K., Europe and Asia. Ms. Peacock-Edwards handles client delivery across the firm’s financial services and commerce & industry practices in the Americas.
The firm also added Chris Crowe as senior consultant in its San Francisco office. He provides talent management and executive search services to West Coast tech clients and, as a strategic partner to the firm’s New York operation, will use his cross-industry and cross-functional experience to support clients in other sectors.
Marlin Hawk is one of a number of executive search firms with headquarters operations in London to look to the U.S. for growth and expansion opportunities. As the fallout deepens in the post-Brexit world, the U.S. is looking more attractive to search firms headquartered in London who find they can just as easily expand their global search platforms to America.
