Lindauer Forms Alliance with Cedars-Sinai to Grow Development Team

October 14, 2026 – Lindauer and Cedars-Sinai, one of the largest non-profit academic medical centers in the U.S., have form an alliance in an effort to expand its development team and build the infrastructure needed to sustain that growth.

In preparation for an ambitious new philanthropic campaign and to help Cedars-Sinai respond to the evolving needs of the communities it serves, the development team is investing in the people, programs, and capabilities needed to build on increasingly strong fundraising results, Lindauer explained. This expansion will increase fundraising capacity, diversify and expand the donor base, strengthen the grateful patient program, and build the talent infrastructure needed to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team.

To advance the new campaign, Cedars-Sinai has launched a multi-search initiative with Lindauer, marking the first phase to expand the Development team. The initial searches focus on executive fundraising positions as well as new roles that strengthen how the department hires, trains, and retains talent. In the coming months, this phase will be followed by searches for leadership and frontline fundraising positions.

To start Lindauer is recruiting for the following positions: executive director, major gifts; program manager of talent, training, and culture (development); program manager, hiring and onboarding (development); and project coordinator, office of the vice president of development.

Since its beginning in 1902, Cedars-Sinai has evolved to meet the healthcare needs of one of the most diverse regions in the nation, continually setting new standards for quality and innovation in patient care, research, teaching, and community service. Today, Cedars-Sinai is one of the largest nonprofit academic medical centers in the United States, with 915 licensed beds, 2,993 physicians, more than 4,700 nurses, and thousands of other healthcare professionals and staff.

Lindauer serves higher and secondary education, hospitals, academic research centers, think tanks, research facilities, and foundations, as well as advocacy, public service, social justice and other mission-driven non-profits. The firm has led searches for The Aspen Institute, Auburn University, Franklin & Marshall College, Brown University, Bryn Mawr College, Princeton University, MIT Sloan, Dickinson College, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Columbia University, University of Illinois, Room to Read and Educate Girls, among others.

C-SPAN Development Officer Search

Lindauer recently assisted in the recruitment of Adele Hixon-Day as the first chief development officer of C-SPAN. The search was led by Lindauer vice president Maureen Huminik, senior vice president Bob Giannino, and senior consultant Taylor Beard. “Adele joins C-SPAN at a pivotal moment,” said C-SPAN CEO Sam Feist. “For decades, the cable and satellite, and recently the streaming industry, has made C-SPAN’s unique public service possible, and that support remains vitally important. At the same time, we need to broaden the community of individuals and organizations invested in C-SPAN and its future. Adele as the experience, energy, and vision to help us build that next chapter.”

Scaling Growth Through Transformative Talent

High-growth environments can compress time, magnify decisions, and expose leadership gaps in an instant. As companies move through periods of rapid expansion, the ability to build and evolve the right leadership team becomes increasingly critical to sustaining momentum and creating long-term value. Across private equity, venture capital, and technology-driven businesses, organizations are rethinking how they assess executive talent, strengthen leadership benches, and prepare teams for the demands of the next stage of growth. From founder-led recruiting and executive assessment to AI-enabled talent intelligence, cybersecurity leadership, and organizational design, the focus is shifting toward more deliberate, data-informed decisions about the people ultimately responsible for scaling the enterprise.

Hunt Scanlon Media will convene more than 250 private equity & venture capital operating partners, chief talent officers, and executive recruiters at The Marker Hotel in San Francisco on October 28, 2026. The program will explore how organizations across venture capital, private equity, and high-growth technology sectors are building the leadership infrastructure required to scale—examining how talent decisions, executive team design, and leadership assessment strategies are evolving to support sustained growth, innovation, and long-term enterprise value.
