LHH Knightsbridge Recruits Chief Legal Officer for LCBO

September 10, 2025 – LHH Knightsbridge has assisted in the recruitment of Sacha Fraser as chief legal officer of LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario). Partner Tara Veysey and managing partner Lisa Knight led the assignment. “I am pleased to announce that Sacha Fraser has joined LCBO as our new chief legal officer, overseeing our legal and procurement teams,” said George Soleas, president and CEO of the LCBO. “In addition to her background and expertise, Sacha has led teams through many complex transformations, making her a valuable addition to my leadership team as we continue our modernization journey. Ms. Fraser brings over 25 years of progressive legal and executive leadership experience across the technology, services, and legal sectors. Most recently, she served as general counsel and corporate secretary at IBM Canada, where she led a national legal and regulatory affairs team. Her leadership was instrumental in navigating complex legal landscapes, driving legal operations transformation, including AI automation, and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the Canadian business.

Prior to IBM, Ms. Fraser held senior legal and executive roles at Xerox Canada, including general counsel, corporate secretary & chief privacy officer. Her earlier career includes litigation practice at McCarthy Tétrault and a range of operational leadership roles, giving her a unique blend of legal acumen and business strategy.

As chief legal officer, Ms. Fraser will serve as a strategic business partner to the president and CEO, the executive team, and the board of directors on all legal matters – an essential role during a period of transformational change for the LCBO. She will also serve as corporate secretary to the board and its committees, and oversee procurement services.
