Jordan Search Consultants Seeks Two Key Leaders for Springfield Clinic

April 29, 2019 – O’Fallon, MO-based executive recruiting firm Jordan Search Consultants (JSC) is seeking two key leaders, chief financial officer and chief information officer, for the Springfield Clinic in central Illinois. Executive search consultant Adam Rockey is leading both assignments.

Springfield Clinic is one of the largest private multispecialty clinics in Illinois.

The vice president/ chief financial officer search will be national in scope, said JSC. Reporting and collaborating with the chief executive officer, the VP/CFO will be expected to set the Springfield Clinic’s financial mission and vision in alignment with its overall strategic plan. As a senior member of the administrative team, this position has direct oversight of business and clinical intel, purchasing, patient accounting and finance.

The VP/CFO will be committed to the organization’s mission to provide the highest quality in healthcare to the people of central Illinois, said the search firm. The individual will also be expected to bring current industry knowledge to create the future vision for Springfield Clinic, leveraging healthcare finance and accounting trends in a limited liability partnership environment for a growing independent multi-specialty group.

Job Requirements

Prospects should have five-plus years’ experience in financial leadership, preferably in healthcare, said JSC. Candidates must have a CPA license. An MBA or the equivalent is also desirable. LLP accounting experience is a plus. The ideal candidate would be a quick thinker, with diverse experience, who is demonstrably innovative and a change agent. Also necessary are excellent communication and presentation skills.

The vice president/ chief information officer role requires an experienced information technology professional to drive the information strategy for the Springfield Clinic, said JSC. Under the direct leadership of the organization’s CEO, the VP/CIO will be expected to set the mission and vision to meet the ever-changing IT needs for the Springfield Clinic in alignment with its strategic plan. This executive will have direct oversight of information technology, the project management office, health information management, and business and clinical intelligence.

“As a valued advisor to the other members of the executive team, this person will build trusting relationships across the organization, actively participating in the overall business strategy development to support the delivery of world class healthcare services,” said the search firm.

The VP/ CIO will be expected to bring current industry knowledge to create the future vision for Springfield Clinic, leveraging information and technology in the business model design, business processes re-engineering capabilities and services development, and support for competitive advantage.

A Multi-Specialty Clinic

The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a computer science, business or an equivalent field. A master’s degree or equivalent is highly preferred. A demonstrably successful track record in IT leadership with a minimum eight years of experience, preferably in health care, is also required. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. Change management experience is required. Expertise in broad IT healthcare leadership related to EMR and computerized physician orders systems, improving customer satisfaction, innovative technology, fiscal performance and clinical quality is necessary.

Mr. Rockey, who is also a professional golfer, received his bachelor’s degree in business with a major in marketing from Illinois State University.
