May 3, 2021 – Executive search network IMSA Search Global Partners continues its growth and expansion push, affiliating with ARGO Partners in Portugal. This addition of the ARGO team will further strengthen IMSA Search’s presence in the SEMEA region. “We are very excited about this collaboration,” said Monika Ciesielska, president of IMSA Search Global Partners. “The IMSA Portugal team is well-positioned to address our expanding global client needs.”
“Joining IMSA Search connects us across the globe with executive search professionals who, like us, are committed to the highest level of excellence, locating the right executives and delivering success for clients and candidates alike,” said ARGO Partner and IMSA Portugal managing partner Pedro Hipólito. Founded as Jason Associates in 2004, ARGO Partners is comprised of: ARGO Talents, providing executive search services including top management profiles, leadership assessment, market intelligence and succession planning; and ARGO Fit, specializing in high-tech expertise and next-gen leadership.
“In both divisions we search for highly capable and experienced leaders, of course. Yet, the pandemic has heightened our focus on problem solving, and as such we seek people who can demonstrate they are agile thinkers, able to solve complex problems in our changing world,” said Mr. Hipólito. “Many of our clients are experiencing rapid growth and need our expertise identifying the right next-gen leaders for their organizations.”
IMSA Portugal says it asks each and every candidate, “What makes your eyes shine?” Susana Leitão, ARGO managing partner and IMSA Portugal managing partner, emphasizes that this is not the same as asking, “What do you want most in life?” She said: “It’s about identifying the key drivers of a candidate’s passion. Our corporate happiness formula is role plus context equals a sense of purpose. Integrating this passion into what we do is something that must be eagerly pursued, cultivated daily, and shared with those who matter! And when we approach our responsibilities with this energy, we immediately see stellar results.”
IMSA Search Global Partners is a leading international executive search network with 22 member countries and over 50 offices across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Members of the IMSA International Executive Search network are all boutique search firms.
Preferred Assessment Provider
Following an in-depth evaluation of psychometric assessment platforms, IMSA Search recently announced its selection of Hogan Assessment Systems as its preferred assessment provider. Consultants will now be able to offer valuable personality insights to clients across the globe.
Hogan’s psychometrics provide hiring managers with in-depth understanding of a candidate’s future job performance, including everyday strengths and weaknesses, performance risks, and alignment with organizational culture. The platform is designed to identify candidates’ strengths and weaknesses without discriminating against any person in terms of race, gender, appearance, religion, beliefs, etc.
IMSA Expands Board to Strengthen Presence in North America and Latin America
IMSA Search Global Partners has elected Mitchell Berger to its board of directors. He has also been appointed regional director for North America and Latin America. In his new role, Mr. Berger will concentrate on further building IMSA Search’s presence in these regions.
“It is critical to ascertain the negative as well as the positive traits in candidates,” said Stig-Rune Reese, managing partner of IMSA Norway, head of IMSA Search assessment center of excellence. “For example, narcissism and hypocrisy are common in high-level executives. These can disrupt relationships and derail success. Knowing about a person’s tendencies toward these in advance can help mitigate future workplace issues before they arise.” Mr. Reese also emphasized that the Hogan assessments can help to eliminate bias from the hiring process.
“Hogan is reliable, data driven and scientific,” said Ms. Ciesielska. “It takes our assessments to a much deeper level, increasing confidence in the search process and resulting in greater success for our clients.”
