IIC Partners Makes Global Board Appointments
November 3, 2023 – IIC Partners Executive Search Worldwide has elected Oliver Schmitt and reappointed Vanessa Dalas to the board of directors. They were elected during the IIC Partners’ AGM held in October and will serve a three-year term.
“Oliver Schmitt and Vanessa Dalas are highly accomplished global leaders who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to IIC Partners,” said Christine Hayward, executive director of IIC Partners. “Mr. Schmitt’s role in uniting our global members through key initiatives and by hosting our global conference and AGM is highly commendable. Mr. Schmitt is the managing director of Teamconsult CR in Prague, Czech Republic and Teamconsult SR in Bratislava, Slovakia. His appointment to the IIC Partners board follows his leadership of key initiatives across Central Europe and throughout our global membership. Mr. Schmitt is responsible for placements of top management positions and serves clients in the financial service industry. He is fluent in German, English, and Czech.

Ms. Dalas’ reappointment as a board director follows a successful three-year term, having served on the board since October 2020. She is a partner and insurance practice leader at Progress in Paris, France. Ms. Dalas specializes in the recruitment of managers for the Insurance sector: French and international companies, provident institutions, pension funds, insurance brokers, reinsurance, insurance groups, and corporate risk managers.

In addition, three board members were elected to the role of vice chair. Renee Arrington, vice chair, Americas, and Allan Laurie, vice chair, Asia Pacific, have been reappointed. Roberto Ravagnani, vice chair, EMEA has been appointed to the role for the first time. Vice chairs serve a one-year term.

New Leader
Last month, IIC Partners appointed Jouko Pitkänen as global practice group leader for consumer markets. “Jouko’s extensive experience and unique insights make him a valued addition to our practice group leadership,” said Renee Arrington, president and chief operating officer at Pearson Partners International and IIC Partners board liaison for practice groups. “His appointment underscores our commitment to attracting top talent to lead our global communities of industry experts. We look forward to leveraging our expanded capabilities in consumer markets to achieve exceptional results for our clients.”
Mr. Pitkänen is a senior partner at JFP Executive Search, providing a full range of services from executive and board search to talent assessment and career advisory for public and private organizations. With a background in retail, FMCG, and consumer services, he brings expertise and an understanding of disruptive industries to the role. His insights are grounded in over 15 years of experience at an international retail organization where he operated at the C-suite level with expertise in strategic transformation, digitalization, change management, organizational design, turnarounds, and efficiency improvement.
