May 16, 2022 – Miramar Beach, FL-based executive recruitment firm Greenwood /Asher & Associates has been enlisted to find the next executive vice president and provost for Louisiana State University’s (LSU) flagship campus in Baton Rouge. Betty Asher, co-founder, and Julie Holley, senior executive search consultant, are spearheading the assignment for the search firm.

He or she will also be charged with enhancing the university’s global presence, including leveraging existing and creating new strategic partnerships with international institutions to increase research and instructional opportunities for faculty and students, among other duties.
Articulating the Vision
The provost’s flagship campus responsibilities include articulating the academic vision and providing leadership in academic strategic planning. The provost will work with faculty, students, staff, and alumni to promote a shared vision of higher education dedicated to research excellence and exceptional student instruction. He or she will also oversee all instruction, student support, enrollment management, and research.
