GHP Search Fills Board Positions for Teach For America New York

September 9, 2025 – GHP Search, formerly known as Greenwich Harbor Partners, was recently retained by Teach For America New York to assist in expanding its board of directors. New members identified by GHP include Haidee Lee, Partner, global co-head of financial sponsor M&A at Goldman Sachs, Scott Mullins, managing director, general manager, AWS Worldwide Financial Services at Amazon Web Services, Kevin Pemberton, managing director, senior strategy advisor at Microsoft, and Phil Wood, partner, head of capital markets at L Catterton.
Ms. Lee is a mergers and acquisition executive with over 25 years of experience. Prior to her return to Goldman Sachs, Ms. Lee held the role of global co‑head of the strategic investor group M&A franchise at J.P. Morgan, after earlier leadership roles at Goldman as a managing director in M&A, and as head of the sell‑side M&A group at Credit Suisse.
At Amazon Web Services, Mr. Mullins is responsible for leading the development and execution of AWS’s strategic initiatives in the financial services industry around the world. Prior to joining AWS in 2014, Mr. Mullins’ 20 year career in financial services included roles at JPMorgan Chase, Nasdaq, Merrill Lynch, and Penson Worldwide.
Mr. Pemberton joined Microsoft with over 25 years of investment management experience. His financial services career has included director at UBS Hedge Fund Solutions, SVP sub-advised funds at Neuberger Berman, and senior roles at Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, Franklin Templeton, and Clearbridge Investments. He is a former adjunct faculty in the master of science, enterprise risk management program at Columbia University.
Prior to joining L Catterton, Mr. Wood spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a vice president in the leveraged finance department, focusing on the media and telecom sectors.
Teach for America is a non-profit organization whose stated mission is to “enlist, develop, and mobilize as many as possible of our nation’s most promising future leaders to grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity and excellence.”

The organization aims to accomplish this by recruiting and selecting college graduates from top universities around the U.S. to serve as teachers. The selected members, known as “corps members,” commit to teaching for at least two years in a public or public charter K–12 school in one of the 52 low-income communities that the organization serves. Today, half of the corps identify as people of color, half come from low-income backgrounds, and more than 1,000 corps members and alumni were themselves taught by a Teach for America corps member when they were students.
Deep Client Roster
GHP Search’s principals, Carrie and Ted Pryor, have worked in the industry as general managers and investors and have direct professional experience with the types of issues that face their clients. Greenwich Harbor Partners Fills Five Board Positions for Teach for America-New York
Greenwich Harbor Partners assisted in the recruitment of Laurent Desmangles, Julian Gonzalez, Mike Henry, Toretha McGuire, and Anthony Ross as new members of the board of director for Teach for America-New York. Mr. Desmangles is a senior C-suite advisor with a global perspective and deep experience helping large organizations chart growth strategy, execute large scale transformation, digital/analytics innovation, and manage change. He is a retired senior partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Mr. Desmangles led BCG’s retail banking practice for North America, and co-led their advanced analytics practice in financial institutions globally.
Ms. Pryor has over 20 years of senior executive search experience. She has recruited board directors, CEOs and their direct reports, as well as partners for private equity firms. In addition to holding a board seat with the New York Pops, she serves as an advisory board member for Constellation Ventures. A veteran of the internet space since the early ’90s, she has deep experience in digital media, entertainment, and private equity.
Mr. Pryor focuses on senior-level assignments for general management, sales, marketing, and digital transformation. He specializes in recruiting executives using his four years as CFO and CEO of a venture-backed start-up, 10 years at General Electric Capital, and 20 years in international finance and investment banking. Mr. Pryor has served on public, private, and non-profit boards, and chaired the audit committee for the NBA’s Boston Celtics. In executive recruiting, he has focused on business services, digital marketing, E-commerce, ad sales, place-based advertising, communications, and customer service for growth companies and large national brands.
