EQU Advisors Seeking Senior Leader for Sarah Lawrence College

June 15, 2026 – Executive search firm EQU Advisors was recently retained by Sarah Lawrence College to lead in its search for an associate vice president of enrollment. This executive will serve as a key member of the senior enrollment leadership team and a collaborative partner across the institution. This role is designed to strengthen coordination, elevate shared strategy, and support the continued evolution of enrollment efforts in ways that build on the College’s established strengths and long-standing expertise.

The associate vice president will work closely with the director of financial aid, the director of enrollment operations, and the director of undergraduate admissions, as well as colleagues in marketing and communications, first-year experience, athletics, and graduate and professional studies.

At a time of energy and momentum, the College seeks an associate vice president to provide day-to-day leadership for undergraduate admissions while serving as a thought partner to the Vice President, contributing insight, coordination, and implementation support in an increasingly complex and fast-moving enrollment landscape. This role is intentionally oriented toward enhancing alignment, reducing fragmentation, and ensuring that strong existing efforts are as effective and well-supported as possible

This role requires a bachelor’s degree; a graduate degree and/or equivalent credential is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least seven to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in college admissions, enrollment management, or a related field, with a minimum of five years in leadership roles.

Experience in a liberal arts environment is valued; however, the College is also interested in candidates from specialized or mission-driven institutions (e.g., arts, engineering, business-focused) or those with a combination of relevant admissions and consulting experience, who bring transferable insight into enrolling distinct student populations. This person will have exceptional operational skills, an adept strategic and analytical capability, and a technological, innovative, and resourceful orientation.

Sarah Lawrence College is a private liberal arts college located in Bronxville, NY. Founded in 1926, the institution is known for its individualized approach to education, emphasizing small seminar-style classes, close faculty mentorship, and interdisciplinary study. The college offers undergraduate and graduate programs across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and creative and performing arts.
