Work&Partners Fills Senior Positions for Toppan Merrill

October 29, 2024 – New York-based Work&Partners has recruited John Dalton as director of product management and Chelsi Tryon as director of ESG for Toppan Merrill, further strengthening the company’s leadership team. “The additions of both Chelsi Tryon and John Dalton to the Toppan Merrill team will have a positive impact going forward across their all business lines and product suites,” said Alan J. Previously, Mr. Dalton was the director of product management for Workiva, Inc. Prior to that, he was the manager, model risk management at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP (Forvis). Earlier in his career, Mr. Dalton was the director of product management at Fiserv, Inc.
Ms. Tryon was formerly the head of ESG for Willscot Mobile Mini. Prior to that, she was on the board of directors of the non-profit organization Stardust. Earlier in her career, Ms. Tryon was the business solutions director for Engie Impact.
Toppan Merrill, a provider of financial printing and communication solutions, is part of the Toppan Printing Co., a global printing group, headquartered in Tokyo with about $14 billion in annual sales in the U.S. Toppan Merrill has been a partner to the financial, legal, and corporate communities for five decades, providing secure, innovative solutions to complex content and communications requirements.
Earlier this year, Work&Partner placed Jonathan Chu as chief product officer of Toppan Merrill. The search firm was seeking executives with demonstrated success in taking products from discovery to execution, producing measurable business value as well as a track record of success in driving culture change and mind-set shifts. Mr. Chu fit the bill. He was formerly with PrivCo and served as their chief product officer. Prior to that, he was the co-founder and chief operating officer at Jetson, AI. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chu was the co-founder of Spiffy, a consumer retail startup and before that, at Deloitte LLP as their digital product development manager, for the U.S. innovation team.
In 2022, Work&Partners recruited Beau Mersereau as the chief technology officer for Toppan Merrill. Founder and president Alan Work led the assignment. Mr. Mersereau was formerly at Fish & Richardson P.C. During his 21-plus years with the company, he served as chief technology officer, leading the legal technology solutions group. Prior to that, he was Fish & Richardson’s director of applications for development and support.

Work&Partners also placed Cindy Sattler as the CFO of Toppan Merrill. As CFO, Ms. Sattler will join Toppan Merrill’s executive leadership team in a high-impact and strategic role reporting to the business unit president. She will be responsible for the direction and management of its client’s financial strategies and activities across a multi-national business and will be instrumental in driving transformation and simplification of the business. Ms. Sattler was formerly the secretary and CFO of Archway Marketing Services.
