Valor Partners is a boutique search consultancy based in Virginia. They work with software and technology companies on executive leadership roles as well as sales and marketing searches.

While most of their work is with privately held software companies in growth mode, their clients also include well established market leaders such as Honeywell, Arrow, Microsoft and several others.

Over the last decade, Valor Partners has completed over 600 searches for their clients across North America.

Valor was founded by Doug Johnson in 2003. Doug spent six years with the largest search firm in the world, MRI (Management Recruiters International), prior to founding his own company. During his MRI tenure, he was a Top 10 Account Executive for five consecutive years and was twice the Account Executive of the Year.

Our Model:
For years, Doug found that both he and his clients were generally frustrated by the standard recruitment models of contingency and retained. Contingent generally wasted too much time and rarely delivered the best result for clients and on the flip side, retained search was expensive and limiting and again, often times didn’t deliver the desired outcome of a successful placement. So, he changed the model to deliver value at every step of the process for his clients and allowed them to pay as they went through the process. “The model we employ has fundamentally shifted how we engage our clients and how they engage us. We are held to account when we commit to a client and they receive real, tangible value as we move through this process.”
