DiMarchi Partners Places CEO at Rudi’s Organic Bakery
July 8, 2020 – Grand Junction / Boulder, CO-based DiMarchi Partners has recruited Brian McGuire as the new CEO of Rudi’s Organic Bakery, a producer of certified organic bread.
“All vetting, interviewing and evaluation were done remotely through ZOOM, SKYPE and other formats,” said Paul DiMarchi, founder and president of the firm. “This shows a leap of faith by all parties, as well as how efficiently critical relationships can be formed remotely when necessary.”
Rudi’s Organic Bakery, founded in 1976, was once the hallmark of the organic baked goods segment nationally, but after it was acquired by Hain Celestial and amidst a sea of new competitors, the brand became diluted and its role as the industry leader faltered, said Mr. DiMarchi. “Now, newly acquired and brought under the Mayfair PE umbrella, Rudi’s is newly empowered with financing, strategic alliances, and a push to regain dominance of the market segment,” he said.
Mr. McGuire, skilled at building brands and teams, is charged with re-vitalizing the organization, managing all manufacturing, production, quality, marketing and general commercial aspects of rebuilding and rebranding. “In addition to complete P&L responsibility, the challenges include not only creating a dynamic re-positioning in all of Rudi’s markets, but also refining the corporate culure to reflect a new enthusiasm and vitality, as well as reporting to ownership located across the pond in Europe,” Mr. DiMarchi said.
Mr. McGuire is an experienced president with a demonstrated history of working in the food production industry. He is skilled in consumer products, marketing strategy, sales management, manufacturing and restaurant management. Mr. McGuire most recently served as president of Steven Roberts Original Desserts,
