DHR to Recruit CEO for Myers Industries
July 29, 2015 – DHR International has been selected by Akron, OH-based Myers Industries Inc. to lead its search for a new president and chief executive officer. Current president and CEO, John C. Orr, has announced that he will retire at the end of the year. He will remain on the company’s board until the 2016 annual meeting.
“The announcement today guarantees adequate time to find the optimal candidate who has the skills to continue the success of the company,” Myers Industries said in a prepared statement. Mr. Orr added: “Myers has a great future, and it’s important to me to work with the Board to find a top rate replacement and to ensure an orderly transition. By announcing today, we have time to successfully accomplish this task.”
Myers Industries is an international manufacturer of polymer products for industrial, agricultural, automotive, commercial, and consumer markets. The company is a wholesale distributor of tools, equipment and supplies for the tire, wheel and under vehicle service industry in the U.S.
