DHR Global Acquires Boyden, Calgary
December 12, 2022 – DHR Global has acquired the Prairies offices (Calgary and Saskatoon) of executive search firm Boyden. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This move strengthens DHR’s presence in Canada, adding 12 partner, associate, and administrative professionals to the DHR Calgary office and expanding its expertise across functions and key industries.
DHR’s Calgary office is a provider of executive search, emerging leader search, and leadership consulting, in partnership with its offices in Toronto, Montreal, and Saskatoon. The firm’s Canadian operations are led from Calgary by Bryan Arthur as managing partner, Canada.

New Additions
The Boyden Calgary partners joining DHR through this acquisition include Mr. Gregor, Morgan R. Campbell, Dan Brown, and Kenny Gregor, adding to DHR’s existing expertise in the industrial, energy, non-profit, and education sectors. They are joined by eight team members who deliver administrative and research support.
Mr. Gregor joins DHR as managing partner. He has gained broad industry expertise over the course of 30 years in business and community leadership. Mr. Gregor works with private and public sector organizations, with a focus on board and C-suite recruitment, predominantly in the energy, utilities, education, and industrial sectors. He also has experience in corporate governance and is an ICD.D certified director.
Mr. Campbell joins DHR as partner. For two decades, he has managed executive and board searches in a range of industries, including oil and gas, energy and utilities, finance, professional services, technology, and manufacturing, among others. Mr. Campbell brings particular expertise to oil and gas placements and has been recognized as one of Oilweek’s Rising Stars for his ability to find the right leadership.
Mr. Brown joins DHR as partner. Based in Saskatoon, he has built lasting client relationships through outstanding service and sound advice over the course of more than 15 years in executive search. He partners with public and private sector clients, primarily boards, owners, and C-level decision makers, to source top talent and develop high-performing executive teams, recruiting from across Canada and abroad.

Mr. Gregor joins DHR as associate partner. He is a dedicated executive search professional with over five years’ experience, working across various practice areas in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. He is involved in all aspects, including research, strategy, candidate identification, and relationship management. A versatile resource and trusted advisor, he has built a track record of senior placements.

She brings expertise in Canadian-based searches within asset management, investment banking, institutional sales/trading/research, wealth management, and alternative investments, along with regulatory compliance.
A capital markets veteran with 15 years of institutional equity experience at leading global investment dealers, followed by more than a dozen years in Canadian financial services recruitment, Ms. Newey brings a unique depth of knowledge to her role. Under her leadership, Newey & Co. earned a reputation as a trusted advisor to clients. The firm was recently featured on both Hunt Scanlon’s 2021 Financial Sixty list of leading recruitment firms in financial services and its broader 2021 ranking of top recruiters in Canada.
