Cooper Coleman Recruits CFO the Center for Child Protection

May 27, 2026 – Cooper Coleman LLC has placed William Wade as chief financial officer of the Center for Child Protection (CCP) in Austin, TX. The national search was led by Johnny Cooper, founder and CEO of Cooper Coleman. “Dion brings the kind of strategic thinking and mission alignment CCP needs in its CFO,” said Mr. Cooper. “They are doing remarkable work, and unfortunately the demand for their services persists. Dion will build strong financial infrastructure while also staying grounded in the human side of the work, so CCP can be in more places educating more people about how to identify and prevent child abuse. We’re proud to partner with the center as it expands.”

This placement builds on Cooper Coleman’s existing relationship with the Center for Child Protection, following the firm’s completion of the organization’s chief development officer search earlier this year, continuing a broader effort to strengthen the center’s executive leadership team during a period of organizational growth and long-term planning.

Mr. Wade brings extensive experience in nonprofit finance, with a background that spans budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and organizational operations. Before joining the Center for Child Protection, he held financial leadership roles at BrightSpark Early Learning Services and Seattle University, where he worked to strengthen financial systems, improve organizational visibility, and support long-term sustainability through periods of growth and change.

As CFO of CCP, Mr. Wade will join the executive leadership team and oversee the organization’s financial strategy and day-to-day operations. He will play a key role in long-term planning, financial systems development, forecasting, and reporting as the center prepares for an upcoming capital campaign and facility expansion.

The Center for Child Protection is a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center and the only nonprofit in Travis County involved in the investigation and prosecution of crimes against children. For more than 30 years, the organization has provided trauma-informed services, including forensic interviews, medical care, therapy, and prevention education, helping children and families move toward healing and stability.

Friends of International Friendship Park Search

Cooper Coleman was recently retained by Friends of International Friendship Park (FOIFP) to lead in its search for a new executive director. The organization seeks a strategic, culturally fluent, and politically savvy executive director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth, visibility, and impact. At a defining moment, following its formal establishment as a 501(c)(3) and increasing regional and national attention, the organization is positioned to evolve from a deeply respected grassroots movement into a sustainable, high-impact institution at the intersection of border culture advocacy, immigrant well-being, and as a site of conscience.

The executive director will serve as both chief strategist and lead advocate, responsible for advancing a clear, actionable vision for International Friendship Park as a fully accessible, trinational space rooted in connection, cultural exchange, and shared humanity. This leader will build upon decades of community trust and advocacy to align stakeholders, strengthen organizational infrastructure, and drive forward a coordinated strategy for long-term success.

Friends of International Friendship Park is a trinational, grassroots, community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, restoring, and reimagining one of the most symbolically significant sites along the U.S.–Mexico border, located on the ancestral lands of the Kumeyaay Nation.
