ChampionScott Recruits Chief Revenue Officer for Red Box Recorders

November 25, 2015 – ChampionScott Partners has recruited Bob Charland as Americas chief revenue officer at Red Box Recorders, a private equity-backed global provider of multimedia communication recording solutions.

Mr. Charland brings to Red Box over 25 years of experience in software sales, marketing and operational leadership. He was most recently regional vice president of sales, eastern region and federal government sales at Spok, a leader in critical communications for healthcare, government, public safety, and other industries. There he led the healthcare and government/public safety sales teams to win multiple President’s Cup Awards. Previously, Mr. Charland spent 10 years at XTEND Communications Corp where he ultimately held the vice president, strategic account sales position.

Red Box Recorders is a provider of voice and data recording solutions that address diverse compliance needs. The company’s quantify recording suite enables organizations operating across financial, contact center, government and public safety sectors to store, search and replay conversations for fact verification, business investigation and quality monitoring.

Chief revenue officers are fast becoming mission-critical innovators for companies that look to dominate a market first and fastest, say recruiters. Exceptional candidates that are making short lists these days seem to have jack-of-all-trade CVs: typical skill sets include diverse backgrounds in marketing, operations, sales, technology, and strategy.

“Aligning all of these functional orbits with the aim of increasing revenue streams is their primary task,” said Scott A. Scanlon, CEO of Hunt Scanlon Media. “Finding good ones doesn’t come easily, or cheaply. CROs are all about leverage: constantly checking supply and demand metrics to know when and where their companies might need to double down.”

ChampionScott Partners is a leading retained executive search firm focused on delivering leadership solutions for technology and technology-enabled companies, globally. Throughout every search the firm undertakes, it applies the strategic insights of an experienced search partner, the operating skills of an internationally expert management team, and the recruiting abilities of a premier executive search firm.

But it’s focus on identifying revenue specialists is growing. Just recently, the firm placed Shannon Erman as chief revenue officer of consulting and systems integration solutions company BRIDGE Energy Group. Mr. Erman was previously VP of North America for Oracle’s Utilities and Energy Business Unit where he established new go-to market initiatives while achieving record revenue results.
