Canaan Ridge Hosts Recruiting Development Event

February 3, 2010 – Fourteen executive search consultants successfully completed the most recent professional development program conducted by Canaan Ridge. The Exceptional Search Consultant program was held in Palm Beach and provided insight on industry best practices related to sales effectiveness, building client reputation and the ideal search. In addition, participants spent a full day taking a comprehensive look into effectively building a personal brand. “We have worked very hard to make our programs engaging and highly focused on the key areas it takes to be an exceptional search consultant,” said Bob Benson, founder of Canaan Ridge. Participants included Boyden, Carter Baldwin, ChampionScott Partners, CTPartners, DHR, Egon Zehnder International, Korn/Ferry International, Preng & Associates, Sheffield Haworth and Sherwood Talent Solutions. Program faculty included Mary Beth Barron, president of GlobalThinking, LLC; Geoffrey M. Champion, chairman and CEO of ChampionScott Partners; Ginny Clark, a career and talent management expert and author; Charley Polachi, partner at Polachi Access Executive Search TM; and Garland West, president of WestWord Communications and founding partner of Canaan Ridge. Judee von Seldeneck, CEO of Diversified Search Odgers Berndtson, also spoke to the group, sharing her thoughts on the state of the industry.
