BrainWorks Names Leader of Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Private Investment Practice

August 16, 2023 – Warren, NJ-based executive search firm BrainWorks expanded with the addition of Charles Wilson as leader of the real estate, infrastructure, and private investment practice. His division focuses on execution, origination, and portfolio management talent for private investment platforms across various asset classes, industries, and strategies. “Charles brings 13 years of experience in finance recruitment, successfully partnering with firms ranging from top five mega funds to de novo middle market managers and family offices – and everything in between,” Brainworks said. “Welcome to the team, Charles.”

Mr. Wilson most recently served as a consultant with One Search. In this role he provided infrastructure and real assets private equity recruitment services. Before that, he was senior vice president and head of the southern U.S. region for Selby Jennings. Mr. Wilson has also served in search positions with RJ Byrd Search Group and Henderson Taylor Consulting.

Since 1991, BrainWorks has been providing executive recruiting services in the practice areas of private equity, consumer products, decision sciences and analytics, market research, and relationship marketing. The firm focuses on the recruiting needs of C-level and sub C-level management specifically within private equity and Fortune companies.

Prior to joining the executive search industry, Mr. Garrity was an employee benefits broker. As an outside sales representative, he finished in the top 10 percent of sales representatives 12 years in a row at Sun Life Financial and The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America. Mr. Garrity transitioned to recruiting in 2017, working with a boutique executive search firm in the Atlanta market. During this time, he gained recruiting experience before moving to Korn Ferry/Lucas Group from 2018 through 2023.
