Bespoke Partners Completes Chief Revenue Officer Search for SMA Technologies
November 25, 2024 – San Diego, CA-headquartered Bespoke Partners has placed John Roper as the new chief revenue officer for Thoma Bravo-backed SMA Technologies in Houston, TX. Alexandra Bossetta and Elizabeth Moses led the assignment. Mr. Roper joins SMA Technologies with over 20 years of experience leading companies through growth phases and driving strategic initiatives. Most recently, he served as chief revenue officer at Abrigo, where he played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s lending and risk solutions for U.S. financial institutions. His background also includes leadership roles at Sageworks (acquired by AKKR in 2018 and rebranded as Abrigo), Deloitte, and Parata Systems, a BD company.
In this role with SMA, Mr. Roper will oversee the sales, customer success, and partner teams, setting the strategic direction for SMA’s go-to-market activities. Having dedicated his focus to financial institutions since 2016, he believes that banks and credit unions serve as pillars of their communities. Mr. Roper brings experience in process improvement, competitive analysis, and product launches to his new role, positioning him to lead SMA Technologies’ next phase of growth.

Prior to joining Bespoke, Ms. Moses was a team leader on the professional services firms segment at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), where she supported management consulting firms in their PE due diligence work.
