Bay Street Advisors Strengthens of Leadership Team

March 18, 2026 – New York City-based Bay Street Advisors has announced two promotions that reflect the continued growth of the search firm and the strength of its leadership team.

John Gregory has been promoted to managing director, leading Bay Street’s business development and search activities across liquid and structured credit. “John brings a rare combination of strategic perspective, market insight, and executional rigor, and is a trusted partner to clients navigating complex leadership decisions,” Bay Street Advisors said in a LinkedIn post. “His impact on the firm’s evolution and client relationships has been significant.”

Additionally, Nick Cominos has been promoted to vice president. “Nick is recognized for his disciplined approach, strong commercial instincts, and consistent delivery across searches,” Bay Street Advisors said. “He plays an increasingly important role in advancing client outcomes and strengthening the firm’s execution capabilities.”

Mr. Hurley is founding partner of Blackwood Associates, a firm specializing in providing senior talent to top tier buy and sell side firms within the financial services sector.

In his role as managing director with Bay Street Advisors, Mr. Hurley will partner with private equity sponsors, asset managers, investment banks, and portfolio company leadership teams to deliver senior-level search and advisory engagements, helping organizations build and strengthen their operational and financial leadership infrastructure.
