AvS – International Trusted Advisors Creates Advisory Board

October 16, 2019 – AvS – International Trusted Advisors, a global executive search and ownership advisory firm headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, has created a new advisory board of international top executives. Luisa Delgado, Tony Bogod, Wolfgang Colberg and Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard will advise the firm as its looks to expand internationally. All of the advisors have extensive management careers and are serving on supervisory boards of globally active companies and organizations.

“The common goal is the strengthening of an international consulting firm that supports its clients in the areas of executive search and ownership advisory with the quality of the top international consulting companies, while at the same time acting faster and more effectively,” said AvS.

“We are very pleased that we have succeeded in getting such top-class and experienced personalities enthusiastic about our consulting approach in executive search and ownership advisory,” said Andreas von Specht, managing founder at AvS. “The regular exchange with our advisory boards enables us to align our work even better with the needs of our globally active clients.”

Ms. Delgado, a Swiss national, was global human resources officer at SAP AG and CEO of the Safilo Group, a global eyewear manufacturer. During her tenure with Safilo Group, she led the company through a period of transition during which its largest licensor, Gucci, changed the relationship from licensee to supplier. She also opened new emergent markets with new direct subsidiaries and via global partners, and reinforced the product capabilities of Safilo with the new Design Studios, the integration of Lenti Manufacturing, and Safilo’s Product School. Ms. Delgado is, among her other mandates, a member of the supervisory board of IKEA.

A U.K. national, Mr. Bogod headed the Centre of Family Business of the consultancy firm BDO for many years and is now a globally recognized expert on succession issues in family businesses and family offices. He provides consultancy services to private family offices. His clients include Willowblade, where he was CEO from 2010 to 2018. Mr. Bogod consults on financial areas (such as corporate transactions and structures, and personal and corporate tax planning) as well as on private family matters such as wealth succession

Dr. Colberg, who is German, held management positions in the Bosch Group for many years before becoming CFO of Evonik Industries AG, where he oversaw the IPO. He has been an industrial partner at the private equity firm CVC Capital Partners since 2013. Dr. Colberg was also CFO at Evonik Industries AG, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of specialty chemicals, as well as CFO at BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH.

Growing Search Firm

Besides its headquarters in Frankfurt, AvS – International Trusted Advisors already has offices in Hamburg, Geneva, Zurich, Paris, London and Bogotá. The firm has grown continually in Europe in recent years.

Three main developments have contributed to the growth of AvS – International Trusted Advisors: demand in the core business of executive search (in other words, advice on the succession of entrepreneurs and management functions in family businesses and family offices as well as advice on the appointment of supervisory boards); the analysis and evaluation of management teams; and “ownership advisory,” in which family entrepreneurs are supported in the development of ownership strategies and the development of management and supervisory structures.
